An exemplary method includes: obtaining configuration information for a beam failure recovery (BFR) procedure on sidelink, wherein the configuration information indicates a periodic window: performing a reception of at least one transmission of a beam failure detection reference signal (BFD-RS) on the sidelink within the periodic window according to the configuration information. Embodiments of the present application can efficiently reduce delay as well as signalling overhead for BFR in sidelink.
