A light detection and ranging system is provided for improving imaging accuracy and measurement range. The light detection and ranging system may comprise: a light source configured to emit a multi-pulse sequence into a three-dimensional environment, in which the multi-pulse sequence comprises multiple light pulses having a temporal profile; a photosensitive detector configured to detect light pulses returned from the three-dimensional environment and generate an output signal indicative of an amount of optical energy associated with a subset of the light pulses; and one or more processors electrically coupled to the light source and the photosensitive detector, and the one or more processors are configured to: generate the temporal profile based on one or more real-time conditions; and determine one or more parameters for selecting the subset of light pulses.

Systems and methods for light detection and ranging

Detector

A distributed LiDAR comprises: an optical transceiver assembly, multiple distributed scanning units, and a distributed optical fiber connector assembly. The optical transceiver assembly includes: a light source emitting detection light, and a light receiving unit used for receiving a detection echo. The multiple distributed scanning units are distributed on the carrier of the distributed LiDAR. The distributed optical fiber connector assembly is in coupled connection with the optical transceiver assembly and the multiple distributed scanning units. The detection light emitted by the light source in the optical transceiver assembly is synchronously transmitted by the distributed optical fiber connector assembly to the multiple distributed scanning units. The multiple distributed scanning units emit the detection light to a detected area with a scanning device, and receive a reflected echo from the detected area. The reflected echo is transmitted to the optical transceiver assembly by the distributed optical fiber connector assembly.

Distributed laser radar

A laser system is provided. The laser system comprises: a seed laser configured to produce a sequence of seed light pulses, wherein the sequence of seed light pulses are produced with variable time intervals in a sweep cycle; a pump laser configured to produce pump light having variable amplitude in the sweep cycle; and a control unit configured to generate a command to the pump laser to synchronize the pump light with the sequence of seed light pulses.

Laser system for Lidar

Methods and systems for providing eye-safe compatible receiver for a light detection and ranging system. The light detection and ranging system comprises; an emitting unit comprising a light source configured to emit a sequence of light pulses of a first wavelength into a three-dimensional environment; and a receiving module comprising a detector for detecting light pulses of a second wavelength, in which the second wavelength is shorter than the first wavelength, the receiving module further comprising a wavelength converter coupled to the detector and configured to convert an echo signal of the emitted light pulses into the light pulses of the second wavelength.
