A method for a network system to send location service request to a network user is provided. The method includes receiving a network client initiated location request including information associated with a first event and information associated with a second event. The method further includes processing the location request. Additionally, if the second event is determined to have occurred by the network system, the network system sends an event message to the network user including information associated with the first event. Moreover, the method includes returning a second receipt acknowledgment of the event message to the network client. In an alternative embodiment, a method for a network system to send a cancellation of a previous deferred location request to a network user is provided.

Method of sending location service request in mobile communication network

A method for synchronizing location trigger information, a location device, and a Secure User-Plane Location (SUPL)-Enabled Terminal (SET) includes: receiving a request for synchronizing location trigger information from a location User Equipment (UE), where the request carries the user identifier information of the user; from the correspondingly stored user identifier information and location trigger information, obtaining the location trigger information corresponding to the user identifier information of the location user; and generating a response message that carries the obtained location trigger information and sending the response message to the location UE.

Method and device for synchronizing location trigger information

The present invention discloses a handling method after updating of privacy profile of a target user equipment (UE). When the location service (LCS) system is aware that the privacy profile of a target UE was updated, for every outstanding Location Request against that UE, the location service (LCS) system perform a new privacy check based on the updated privacy profile. If the said location request passes the privacy check, the location service system continues to handle the said location request until the handling process is ended; if the location request fails in the privacy check, the location service system initials a cancellation procedure to the said location request. In accordance with this invention, When the location service (LCS) system is aware that the privacy profile of a target UE was updated, the LCS system will be able to perform a new privacy check for the location request based on the updated privacy profile of the target UE, and implement corresponding processing depending on the result of the privacy check for the location request, e.g. for a location request fails in the privacy check, the LCS system shall initiate a cancellation procedure. In this case, the processing is ended earlier and the system resource is saved.

Handling method after updating of privacy profile of target user equipment

A method for handling a Deferred Location Request, including: a Location Service (LCS) Client initiating a Deferred Location Request for a target UE to a Requesting-Gateway Mobile Location Center (R-GMLC), the R-GMLC forwarding the Deferred Location Request to a Home-GMLC (H-GMLC), the H-GMLC assigning a Reference Number for the Deferred Location Request, and sending the Deferred Location Request to a Core Network (CN) via a Visited-GMLC (V-GMLC); when a deferred event occurs, the CN submitting a target UE location report and the Reference Number to the H-GMLC via the V-GMLC, the H-GMLC returning the target UE location report to the LCS Client via the R-GMLC. Since the H-GMLC is the home GMLC of the target UE, the Reference Number assigned by the H-GMLC may ensure that different Deferred Location Requests initiated for a same target UE may be exclusively differentiated, such that Deferred Location Requests for the same target UE initiated by the LCS Client through different R-GMLCs may be normally processed, which effectively solves the conflict in the handling process of an LCS and satisfies the demands of service operations.
