A battery pack and a charging method for the same is described. The battery pack includes at least one cell set including multiple cells connected in series. The charging method includes detecting a temperature of the battery pack under a preset state and a voltage of each of the multiple cells, the preset state being a state in which a charging circuit is disconnected and the battery pack is inserted in a charger after the battery pack has been fully charged, calculating a voltage difference between at least two cells in the battery pack based on the voltage of each cell, and determining whether to activate a balancing operation based on the voltage difference and the temperature.

Battery pack and charging balancing method for the same

A battery pack is detachably connectable to an electric tool or a charger and includes a housing, a cell group, a first voltage monitoring module, a control module, a second voltage monitoring module and a protection module. The cell group includes a plurality of cells electrically connected to each other. The first voltage monitoring module monitors at least one of the voltage of each cell or the total voltage of the cell group. The second voltage monitoring module monitors the voltage of each cell to detect whether the cells are in an overvoltage state. The protection module is electrically connected to the second voltage monitoring module and when the second voltage monitoring module monitors that any one of the cells is in the overvoltage state, cuts off a charging path formed between the battery pack and the charger.

Battery pack and charging assembly

A battery pack of a power tool includes a plurality of cells connected in series, a controller, which is configured to detect a charge current and/or a discharge current of the plurality of cells, estimate remaining capacity of the plurality of cells at least base on an integral of the charge current and/or the discharge current of the plurality of cells over time and generate or select a power supply capability parameter for limiting power of the power tool at least base on the remaining capacity of the plurality of cells, and a memory, which is configured to store data related to the remaining capacity of the plurality of cells.

Power tool system and method for controlling power tool system

A charging system includes a first battery pack having a first capacity, a second battery pack having a second capacity and a charger for charging the first battery pack and the second battery pack. When the first battery pack is charged by the charger at a predetermined charging current I, a first charging time in which the first battery pack reaches a predetermined temperature T is set as a predetermined time t. When the second battery pack is charged by the charger at the predetermined charging current I, and when a second charging time of the second battery pack reaches the predetermined time t, the second battery pack is charged at a lower charging current. The first capacity is less than the second capacity.

Charging system and method

A power toolcapable of being balance powered by multiple battery packs is provided. A power tool comprising: a motor; a first battery pack; a second battery pack; a first battery receptacle for receipt of the first battery pack; a second battery receptacle for receipt of the second battery pack; a first switch device for connecting to the first battery pack and the motor; a second switch device for connecting to the second battery pack and the motor; and a controller operable to send a signal to cause the switch device opened so as to disconnect the battery pack and the motor when the voltage of the switch device is less than a control voltage.

Power tool and control method thereof

A discharge protection circuit has a cell combination with more than one cell, a power supply circuit, an output circuit, a MCU chip, a voltage detection circuit, a NTC circuit, a current detection circuit, a drive circuit and a drive switch. The power supply circuit, the output circuit and the cell combination form a series connection and the MCU chip forms an electrical connection with the voltage detection circuit, the drive circuit and the current detection circuit, respectively, with the voltage detection module being electrically connected with the cell combination and the NTC circuit respectively. A control method includes enabling a discharge procedure of the discharge protection circuit to discharge with a power quantity 0.2 times nominal power quantity each hour. In this procedure, the MCU chip is cyclically dormant to reduce the control power dissipation and improve discharge quantity while achieving discharge protection of the battery pack.

Discharge protection circuit and its control method

An electrical combination includes a power tool and battery pack. The battery pack includes a detection terminal and a normal terminal, two detection circuits, and a control module for respectively connecting with the two terminals. The control module can detect and compare voltage signals in the detection circuits. One detection circuit is used to provide a comparing reference and the other detection circuit is used as a circuit of the terminals and to apply the same voltage on the terminals. A difference between voltages sampled from voltage sampling points and a predetermined value is compared to determine whether the resistance of the terminals is increased. The method can help to decide whether the connection of terminals is good or not.

Electrical combination

A battery pack, a method for detecting the battery pack, a charging assembly, and an electric tool are provided for detecting voltage and disconnection of the battery cells. The battery pack may have an output voltage of at least 56V and may include a plurality of series connection units. A voltage detecting module may be utilized for detecting voltage in the battery pack. A battery control module configured to control voltage detecting module may also be employed. The method may involve determining whether the series connection units are disconnected based on rates of voltage change or internal-resistance of the series connection units.

Battery pack, method for detecting battery pack, charging assembly and electric tool

The present application discloses a control circuit for a power tool and a method for manipulating the power tool. The control circuit has a detection circuit for battery packs, a calculating control circuit, a battery capacity indicating circuit for indicating the calculation result of the battery capacity, and a current measure and calculating circuit for measuring the current flowing through motors. The calculation result further includes the voltages consumed by the battery pack internally and the discharge loop. The method for manipulating the power tool includes pressing the switch to electrically connect the motor and the battery pack, measuring the parameters of the battery pack and allowing the motor to operate or not according the measured parameters. Further, after the motor is in operation, the battery capacity is calculated and the results are displayed.
