Techniques are described herein for enabling the generation of high-precision location data on a user device using a cellular network infrastructure. In embodiments, such techniques may comprise maintaining, by a base station operating within a cellular network, high-precision location information representing geographical coordinates associated with the base station. The techniques may further involve obtaining, by the base station, current location information associated with the base station and determining a current correction value that represents a difference between the high-precision location information and the current location information. The techniques may further involve determining one or more user devices in communication with the base station, and providing the current correction value to the one or more user devices.

Techniques for high-precision locationing services in a mobile network

Methods and systems provide network capacity enhancement. In one embodiment, the method includes identifying delay requirements for an extended reality (XR) service application. The method further includes predicting, in the PDCP layer, one or more of jitter or latency for a data packet and dropping the data packet if the predicted jitter and/or latency is higher than the delay requirements identified for the XR service application. The method further includes predicting, in the MAC layer, jitter or the latency for the data packet and dropping the data packet if the predicted jitter or the latency in the MAC layer higher than the delay requirements identified for the XR service application and preparing the data packet for transmission through a network if the one or more of the jitter or latency in the MAC layer for the data packet is less than the delay requirements identified for the XR service application.

System and method for wireless network capacity enhancements for XR jitter sensitivity applications

A wireless data system receives first user data for a first user application. The wireless data system receives second user data for a second user application. The wireless data system processes the first user data with a first set of functions based on the first user application. The wireless data system processes the second user data with a second set of the functions based on the second user application. The functions comprise Physical Layer (PHY), Media Access Control (MAC), Radio Link Control (RLC), Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP), and Radio Resource Control (RRC). The first set of the functions differs from the second set of the functions.

Dynamic wireless network architecture to serve uplink-centric and downlink-centric user applications

Solutions for low latency edge processing for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV, 'drone') wireless links (e.g., air interfaces) include: receiving, by a first base station of a cellular network, from a UAV controller, over a first air interface, a first signal; routing the first signal from the first base station to the UAV, over a second air interface, without routing the first signal through a virtual private network (VPN); and controlling a flight parameter of the UAV based on at least the first signal. Further examples include: registering, by a UAV controller, with a cellular network; registering, by a UAV, with the cellular network; transmitting, by the UAV controller, to a first base station of the cellular network, over a first air interface, a first signal; and receiving, by the UAV, from the cellular network, over a second air interface, the first signal, without routing the first signal through a VPN.

Low latency edge processing for drone wireless links

An improved multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) solution is disclosed for customer premises equipment (CPE) in which a set of wireless interfaces (e.g., cellular and WiFi), each with a plurality of antenna ports for MIMO operation, couple to an antenna switch fabric, which is then coupled to a set of antennas. In some examples, the antennas are distributed for maximum isolation and separation in order to improve MIMO channel separation, for example in an approximately spherical arrangement. The antenna switch fabric is instructed to select the optimal antennas based on signal parameter measurements, in order to improve overall performance. Selection of uplink (transmit) versus downlink (receive) antenna sets may be independent and based on different signal parameter measurements (e.g., for frequency division duplexing, FDD).

A wireless access node serves an Integrated Access and Backhaul Mobile Termination (IAB MT). The wireless access node wirelessly receives an IAB request from the IAB MT over a frequency channel. The wireless access node determines an IAB subchannel in the frequency channel for the IAB MT responsive to the IAB request. The IAB subchannel comprises adjacent resource blocks in the frequency channel. The wireless access node wirelessly indicates the IAB subchannel to the IAB MT. The wireless access node wirelessly exchanges IAB data with the IAB MT over the IAB subchannel.

Radio frequency allocation among wireless user equipment and integrated access and backhaul mobile terminations

The technology disclosed herein relates to generating a three-dimensional virtual entity using augmented reality, mixed reality, extended reality, another reality type, or one or more combinations thereof. The virtual entity is generated using two-dimensional image data and a depth measurement of the entity relative to the positioning of the entity within an image or video. The depth measurement is determined based on transmitting one or more radio frequencies toward the entity via one or more radio frequency transmitters based on the entity being identified using the image data. Further, the depth measurement is determined based on one or more radio frequency receivers receiving radio frequency data based on the one or more radio frequencies reflecting or refracting from the entity. The determined depth measurement is transmitted over a wireless telecommunications network for generating the three-dimensional entity. The radio frequency data may be transmitted over the wireless telecommunications network.

Location precision techniques for enhanced depth data in wireless communications

Approaches to preventing degraded video presentation use reference video quality measurement feedback from a video decoder node that is receiving live action video streams from a video encoder across a cellular network. A reference video stream is encoded along with the live action video streams, and the video decoder node compares the decoded reference video stream with a local copy to determine video quality. The video decoder node provides video encoding parameter feedback for adjusting the encoding and/or provides cellular network feedback for adjusting a transmission parameter for data traffic through the cellular network (from the video encoder node to the video decoder node). Solutions are disclosed for implementation at the video encoder, at the video decoder, and within the cellular network. For example, different compression codecs may be specified, and bit rates, frame, rates, key frame intervals, and/or bit depth may be automatically (immediately) adjusted without requiring human intervention.

Reference video quality measurement feedback

A system associated with a telecommunications network is in communication with a wireless device and an HMD device. The system can determine a first location of the wireless device and a second location of the HMD device. The system can receive parameter data generated by one or more sensors of the wireless device and generate mixed reality data based the first location or a relative location of the wireless device and the parameter data. The relative location can correspond to the first location of the wireless device relative to the second location of the HMD device. The mixed reality data can anchor a virtual object to a real-world object at the first location and simulate the wireless device based on the parameter data. The system can cause the HMD device to display an immersive view to a user wearing the HMD device based on the mixed reality data.

Generating mixed reality content based on a location of a wireless device

A wireless communication network receives a first Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) profile from a User Equipment (UE) and authenticates the UE based on the first SIM profile. The network receives a first slice request from the UE and authorizes a first wireless network slice for the UE based on the authentication of the first SIM profile and the first slice request. The network receives a second SIM profile from the UE and authenticates the UE based on the second SIM profile. The network receives a second slice request from the UE and authorizes a second wireless network slice for the UE based on the authentication of the second SIM profile and the second slice request. The network wirelessly exchanges first slice data with the UE over the first wireless network slice, and simultaneously, exchanges second slice data with the UE over the second wireless network slice.

Slices for applications based on multiple active SIM profiles

A computerized method configures and uses ad hoc servers to serve content. A content server configured to serve a content dataset periodically provides a current server load notification to a domain name server (DNS). Upon detecting that a current load of the content server exceeds a server load threshold, the DNS sends a new server setup notification to the content server. The content server then identifies an ad hoc server and performs a content service handover to the identified ad hoc server. Upon completion of the content service handover, the content server provides a new server notification to the DNS indicating that the identified ad hoc server is ready to serve the content dataset. The DNS is thereby enabled to divert client requests for the content dataset to the ad hoc server during the period that the current load of the content server exceeds the server load threshold.

A data communication system serves a user application in a User Equipment (UE). The data communication system receives a subscription from an application server into a Network Exposure Function (NEF). The subscription is for user data from the user application in the UE. The data communication system receives the user data from the user application in the UE over a Virtual Private Network (VPN) and transfers the user data to the NEF. The data communication system transfers the user data from the NEF for delivery to the application server in response to the subscription.

In a wireless communication system, Distributed Units (DUs) wirelessly receive test data from wireless access points and transfer the test data to a Central Unit (CU). The CU receives the test data from the DUs and estimates data throughputs for combinations of the DUs and the wireless access points based on the test data. The CU selects some of the combinations of the DUs and the wireless access points based on the estimated data throughputs. The CU exchanges user data with the user communication devices and exchanges the user data with the DUs in the selected combinations of the DUs and the wireless access points. The DUs in the selected combinations of the DUs and the wireless access points exchange the user data with the CU and wirelessly exchange the user data with the wireless access points in the selected combinations of the DUs and the wireless access points.

Configuration of a wireless network centralized unit (CU) and multiple wireless network distributed units (DUS)

A system associated with a telecommunications network is in communication with a wireless device and an HMD device. The system obtains image data that depicts the wireless device while a user is wearing the HMD device. The wireless device and the HMD device are co-located in an area of the telecommunications network. The system can receive parameter data generated by one or more sensors of the wireless device. The system can generate mixed reality data based on the image data and the parameter data. The mixed reality data includes an immersive view of a computer-generated virtual environment including a virtual image of the wireless device and the virtual image depicts a real-world view of the wireless device and simulates the wireless device based on the parameter data. The system can also cause the HMD device to display the immersive view to the user wearing the HMD device.

Generating mixed reality content based on data from a wireless device

Aspects herein provide a system, media, and methods for provisioning and establishing multiple network slices for use by an application. In aspects, a particular application is able to provision a URLLC slice and an eMBB slice from a network. Based on a predefined policy associated with the application, the application communicates high priority data using a URLLC slice and non-priority data using the eMBB slice. The application can utilize unique headers on high priority data and non-priority data to implement the data prioritization schema, which the network can further use as filters. As such, the application can leverage the distinct characteristics of URLLC and eMBB to optimize the application's performance and operations at a user device and/or within the network.
