This application relates to components of communications devices, and in particular, to a dielectric resonator and a dielectric filter, a transceiver, and a base station to which the dielectric resonator is applied. Embodiments of this application provide a dielectric resonator and a dielectric filter, a transceiver, and a base station to which the dielectric resonator is applied. The dielectric resonator includes a metal cavity and a dielectric block that is disposed in the metal cavity and that is made from a solid-state dielectric material; where sizes of the dielectric block meet c&#x3c;b&#x3c;a, where a, b, and c are respectively the sizes of the dielectric block in three dimensions in a three-dimensional coordinate system; a hole is disposed on the dielectric block; and a surface of the dielectric block is not metalized and is not in contact with the metal cavity.

Dielectric resonator and dielectric filter, transceiver, and base station to which dielectric resonator is applied

The filter is provided, which includes a filter body and resonant cavities disposed on the filter body, and further includes an input port and an output port that are disposed on the filter body. At least one of the input port or the output port is connected to a set of additional resonant cavities, and each set of additional resonant cavities includes: a first additional resonant cavity in signal coupling to the input port or the output port, and a second additional resonant cavity in signal coupling to the first additional resonant cavity. In the filter, the two additional resonant cavities and another resonant cavity connected to the input port or the output port are in a form of a straight line, thereby implementing a flexible layout of cavities of the filter. In addition, a coupling structure is simple, costs are low, reliability and batch consistency is good.

The present application provides a dielectric filter, including a body part, a dielectric resonator, a cavity is formed in the body part, and a support kit is disposed at a bottom of the cavity. The dielectric resonator, including a dielectric body and at least two adjusting holes disposed on the dielectric body, is contained in the cavity and is disposed on the support kit. The dielectric body has a first mirror plane and a second mirror plane, which are perpendicular to each other and penetrate through the top plane and the bottom plane of the dielectric body, and any two of the at least two adjusting holes are not mirror symmetric relative to the first mirror plane or the second mirror plane.

A resonator, a filter, a duplexer, and a multiplexer are disclosed. In an embodiment a resonator includes a resonant cavity casing having a resonant cavity and an open end, a cover covering the open end and being connected to the resonant cavity casing and a resonance tube located inside the resonant cavity. The resonator further includes a tuning rod disposed inside the resonance tube and a dielectric material located in the resonant cavity, wherein the dielectric material is located in a capacitance area formed between a top of the resonance tube and the cover, wherein the tuning rod is rotatable relative to the dielectric material, and wherein surfaces of the tuning rod and the dielectric material face each other and comprise non-circular structures so that an overlapping of the surfaces is changeable to adjust a frequency when the tuning rod is rotated relative to the dielectric material.
