The present invention relates to a method and system for installing software onto a client in the NIM environment and corresponding client. Said method includes: initializing said client, wherein a virtual mapping device associated with a memory driver of the client is created, the virtual mapping device for scheduling between the client's memory driver and the remote NIM server with respect to the I/O operation for running the software so as to direct the I/O operation for running said software to the client's memory driver or the remote NIM server; running said software on the client; acquiring the resources desired for running software; and conducting data migration operation from the NIM server to the client while running said software, wherein the migrated data is the resource data obtained from NIM server and desired for installing said software; and the software installation being completed when all the data desired for installing said software are migrated to the memory driver of the client. It is unnecessary for the present invention to copy all the installation images to the local client before installing software, therefore time delay of installing OSs or application programs can be shortened or even eliminated.

The device is simple and easy to operate, and has good practicability and promotional and application value.

A method for determining travel time of a vehicle on a road, wherein the vehicle is operable within a mobile communication network, comprising: collecting historical communication events of a mobile user in order to obtain travel samples, wherein the historical communication events indicate when the mobile user travelled along a monitored road; determining a cell handover sequence from the historical communication events; determining from the cell handover sequence, one of more road segments of the monitored road; determining the travel time of the one or more road segments according to the travel time samples; selecting, for an undetermined road segment of the monitored road for which the real-time travel time is not determined from the collected historical communication events, a candidate mobile user that is most likely to appear on the undetermined road segment; actively positioning the candidate mobile user to obtain positioning information; and returning to the step of collecting communication events of a mobile user currently on a monitored road with the active positioning as one communication event for the candidate mobile user, to determine the real-time travel time of the undetermined road segment.

The presence system comprises multiple presence servers communicating through a network, and said device for user-management comprises a combining means for combining multiple user sets among which there are the greatest correlations into a user set to be allocated; and an allocating means for allocating said user set to be allocated to one presence server which can contain said user set to be allocated. Through allocating multiple user sets among which there are the greatest correlations to a same presence server, communications among users in the user set are performed within a same presence server, reducing occupations for network resources and improving performance of the presence system.

A method, apparatus, system, and computer readable medium for authenticating the identity of a caller. An authentication device authenticates a caller's identity based on received information of the caller and an identifier generation device generates an identifier containing the caller's identity. The authentication information is supplied to a mobile telephone user acting as a callee. Therefore, the callee knows the caller's identity, thereby providing a secure delivering channel.

A method and device of identifying payload of a data packet in a TCP stream. The method includes the steps of: calculating a payload signature according to information in header of the data packet in the TCP stream; comparing the payload signature with a pre-stored file signature; determining the payload of the data packet in the TCP stream as belonging to a file corresponding to the pre-stored file signature, in response to a match between payload signatures of multiple data packets and the pre-stored file signature. The present invention can monitor and identify TCP streams by using a more efficient and lower cost solution.
