This application discloses a physical uplink control channel sending method, a receiving method, and a communication apparatus. The method includes: A terminal device determines a first transmission manner from a plurality of transmission manners including a first non-frequency hopping transmission manner, and sends a PUCCH to a network device in the first transmission manner. The first non-frequency hopping transmission manner is: sending the PUCCH without frequency hopping in a time unit. UCI on the PUCCH includes a first part and a second part, the first part is sent by using an orthogonal sequence whose length is L1, and the second part is sent by using an orthogonal sequence whose length is L2. The UCI is divided into two parts, and is sent without frequency hopping by using orthogonal sequences with a same length or different lengths.

Physical uplink control channel sending method, receiving method, and communication apparatus

A multi-antenna operation mode indication method and an apparatus resolve a problem that increased power consumption and a resource waste are caused because a terminal device still operates in a multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) mode by default in a single-port transmission mode. The method includes: a network device sends indication information to a terminal device, to indicate that a multi-antenna operation mode of the terminal device is single-user multiple-input multiple-output (SU-MIMO) or MU-MIMO. The terminal device determines, based on the indication information from the network device, whether a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) port number corresponding to the terminal device and a DMRS port number not corresponding to the terminal device are allocated to another terminal device, to adjust the multi-antenna operation mode.

The method further includes sending the scrambled message to a terminal on a physical downlink shared channel. Because the first time parameter has different values at at least two different moments, scrambling codes determined at the at least two corresponding different moments are different. Therefore, a possibility at which the base station uses a same scrambling code to scramble a same system message repeatedly in a time period is reduced, so that an anti-interference capability in system message transmission is improved.

This application relates to a communication method and apparatus. A terminal device sends first uplink data to a network device. After sending the first uplink data, the terminal device monitors a first downlink control channel in a first search space in a first duration; and after the first duration ends, the terminal device monitors a second downlink control channel in a second search space in a second duration. A length of a periodicity of the second search space is greater than a length of a periodicity of the first search space. In this case, the terminal device monitors the second downlink control channel based on the second search space at a low frequency. Therefore, the second search space with a long periodicity is set, so that power consumption of monitoring the downlink control channel by the terminal device can be reduced.

Example reference signal sending methods and apparatus are described. In one example method, a terminal device detects whether a paging scheduling message exists in a PDCCH search space whose starting subframe is a subframe corresponding to a paging occasion (PO), and/or detects whether a wake-up signal (WUS) exists before a PO. A network device determines a time domain resource in first duration based on a quantity of paging occasions in a discontinuous reception period, where the time domain resource is a time domain resource in a time-frequency resource used to transmit a reference signal.
