An injector for co-feeding liquid and solid fuels into a gasifier is provided. The injector includes a body, a first member, and a second member. The body comprises a first channel for conveying a liquid fuel. The first member surrounds the body to define a second channel for pneumatically conveying a solid fuel. The second member surrounds the first member to define a third channel for conveying a fluid stream for dispersing the solid fuel. The liquid fuel is atomized before being mixed with the solid fuel. A method for co-feeding liquid and solid fuels is also presented.

Injector and method for co-feeding solid and liquid fuels

A system for gasification of a solid powder is provided. The system comprises one or more conveying tanks configured to receive a solid powder and one or more solid pumps disposed downstream of and in fluid communication with the one or more respective conveying tanks. The system further comprises a gasifier disposed downstream of and in fluid communication with the one or more solid pumps. A conveyance unit and a method for conveyance and gasification of a solid powder are also presented.

Systems and methods for processing solid powders

A system for use in a gasification system comprises an increasing pitch screw feeder and a high-pressure vessel disposed about said increasing pitch screw feeder. The high-pressure vessel comprises an inlet for connection to an outlet of a solid pump and a conveyance gas line and an outlet through which solid fuel delivered from the solid pump is transported to a gasifier. The outlet is downstream of the solid pump and the conveyance gas line.

Solid fuel transporting system for a gasifier

Disclosed herein are unmixed fuel processors and methods for using the same. In one embodiment, an unmixed fuel processor comprises: an oxidation reactor comprising an oxidation portion and a gasifier, a COacceptor reactor, and a regeneration reactor. The oxidation portion comprises an air inlet, effluent outlet, and an oxygen transfer material. The gasifier comprises a solid hydrocarbon fuel inlet, a solids outlet, and a syngas outlet. The COacceptor reactor comprises a water inlet, a hydrogen outlet, and a COsorbent, and is configured to receive syngas from the gasifier. The regeneration reactor comprises a water inlet and a COstream outlet. The regeneration reactor is configured to receive spent COadsorption material from the gasification reactor and to return regenerated COadsorption material to the gasification reactor, and configured to receive oxidized oxygen transfer material from the oxidation reactor and to return reduced oxygen transfer material to the oxidation reactor.
