A receptacle connector assembly includes a receptacle connector and a metal cage. The metal cage includes a first insertion space and a first opening located at a rear end of the first insertion space. The receptacle connector is accommodated in the metal cage through the first opening. The metal cage includes a first wall portion, a second wall portion, a third wall portion and a fourth wall portion which are enclosed to form a first frame. The third wall portion and/or the fourth wall portion is provided with a first guide protrusion protruding into the first insertion space. The first guide protrusion is configured to be inserted into a slot of a plug connector, thereby improving the mating stability. A connector assembly having the receptacle connector assembly is also disclosed.

Receptacle connector assembly and connector assembly with improved insertion reliability

A connector assembly includes a receptacle connector assembly and a plug connector. The plug connector includes a housing and a tongue plate. The housing includes a mating surface. A number of conductive pads are provided on the tongue plate. The housing includes an extension plate extending in a mating direction of the plug connector. The tongue plate and the extension plate both extend and protrude beyond the mating surface along the mating direction. The plug connector is provided with the extension plate which is located only on one side of the tongue plate. The extension plate extends and protrudes beyond the tongue plate along the mating direction.

Plug connector and connector assembly capable of achieving miniaturization

A plug connector includes a housing, a built-in circuit board partially located in the housing, and a cable electrically connected to the built-in circuit board. The housing includes a mating surface. The built-in circuit board includes a tongue plate and a number of conductive pads provided on the tongue plate. The housing includes an extension plate extending along a mating direction of the plug connector. The tongue plate and the extension plate protrude beyond the mating surface along the mating direction. The extension plate further protrudes beyond the tongue plate along the mating direction. Two lateral sides of the plug connector also respectively include slots extending through the mating surface. As a result, the insertion reliability of the plug connector of the present disclosure is improved.

Plug connector with improved insertion reliability

A connector assembly includes a receptacle connector assembly and a plug connector. The plug connector includes a housing, a tongue plate and two locking arms. The tongue plate is located below the two locking arms. The two locking arms are installed in the housing. Each locking arm includes a locking latch located at a front end of the locking arm, an abutting portion located at a rear end of the locking arm, and a pivot portion located between the locking latch and the abutting portion. The pivot portion is located between a first surface of the housing and the tongue along a thickness direction of the plug connector.

Plug connector and connector assembly capable of reducing height

A plug connector includes a housing, a built-in circuit board, a cable, two locking arms, a driving member, and a pull strap connected to the driving member. Each locking arm includes a locking protrusion, an abutting portion and a pivot portion. The driving member includes two driving arms. Each driving arm includes a protruding portion to pull the abutting portion. The locking arm is rotatable around the pivot part when the pull strap is pulled by an external force. At the same time, the locking protrusions can move along a thickness direction from a locked position to an unlocked position. The plug connector also includes two return springs for returning the locking arms after the external force is removed. As a result, the reliability of the plug connector of the present disclosure is improved.

Plug connector with improved reliability

A connector assembly includes a receptacle connector assembly and a plug connector. The plug connector includes a housing, a tongue plate and two locking arms. The housing includes a first housing defining an avoidance space. The two locking arms are installed in the housing. Each locking arm includes a locking latch, an abutting portion and a pivot portion. The locking arm is rotatable around the pivot portion under an action of an external force, thereby causing the locking latch to move toward an interior of the housing along a thickness direction of the plug connector. The avoidance space is configured for the abutting portion to tilt. Each return spring is configured to return the locking arm after the external force is removed.
