Provided herein are techniques for AP coordinated P2P communications in a Wi-Fi network. Embodiments describe an apparatus for an AP including processing circuitry to: encode a first trigger frame, to be transmitted to a plurality of STAs associated with the AP, to query a buffer status of each STA; receive one or more response frames from one or more of the plurality of STAs, each having data to be transmitted to a target receiver STA in the plurality of STAs; allocate one or more RUs for each of a group of STAs selected from the one or more STAs, based on the one or more response frames, and using OFDMA; and encode a second trigger frame, to be transmitted to the selected group of STAs and the target receiver STA for each of the group of STAs, to indicate the allocation of RUs.

Access point (AP) coordinated peer-to-peer (P2P) communications in wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) network

Provided herein are apparatus and methods for improving transmission efficiency of video content for Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi). An apparatus for a Wi-Fi device comprises a Radio Frequency (RF) interface and processing circuitry coupled with the RF interface. The processing circuitry is to encode a Medium Access Control (MAC) frame, to carry video content to be transmitted to one or more other Wi-Fi devices connected with the Wi-Fi device; encapsulate the MAC frame into a physical (PHY) frame, the PHY frame is to include an additional byte in a high-efficiency signal-A (HE-SIG-A) field, to indicate whether the MAC frame is encoded as an original MAC frame including one Frame Check Sequence (FCS) or a video content specific MAC frame including more than one FCSs; and transmit the PHY frame, via the RF interface, to the one or more other Wi-Fi devices.

Apparatus and method for improving transmission efficiency of video content for Wi-Fi

A device of a User Equipment (UE), a method to operate the device, and a machine readable medium. The device includes processing circuitry and a radio frequency (RF) interface coupled to the processing circuitry, the processing circuitry to: decode a signal sent in a cellular network from a base station (BS), the signal including a network allocation vector (NAV) information update regarding a NAV corresponding to a Wi-Fi network, the NAV to be set by a Wi-Fi station (STA) that is in the Wi-Fi network, and that is to be coupled to the UE via a connection; and send the NAV information update to the STA by way of the connection to allow the STA to set its NAV in the Wi-Fi network based on the NAV information update.

Improving Wi-Fi spectrum efficiency

Apparatuses, methods and storage media associated with an IoT gateway are disclosed herein. In embodiments, an apparatus (such as an IoT gateway) for communicatively coupling a plurality of Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices of an IoT network to each other, and to an enterprise or public network, may comprise: first networking circuitry to communicatively couple the apparatus with the plurality of the IoT (smart) devices of the IoT network; second networking circuitry to communicatively couple the apparatus with the enterprise or public network; routing circuitry coupled to the first and second networking circuitries; and code table building circuitry coupled with the first and second networking circuitries to dynamically provide a code table to the IoT (smart) devices to use to exchange messages with each other, or with other devices on the enterprise or public network, based at least in part on words in the messages exchanged.
