The receiver circuitry is configured to receive from the radio access network (1) slot format information comprising transmission direction configuration for each symbol in a slot for an uplink (UL) subband; and (2) validation information. The processor circuitry is configured to use the validation information to perform validation or invalidation of the transmission direction configuration for at least a portion of the UL subband.

A user equipment (UE) is described. Receiving circuitry receives first information and second information. Monitoring circuitry monitors downlink control information (DCI) carried by a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). The first information indicates information to configure a first control resource set (CORESET) pool and a second CORESET pool. The second information indicates information on a first transmission configuration indication (TCI) state for CORESETs associated with the first CORESET pool and a TCI state for CORESETs associated the second CORESET pool. The DCI carried by a first PDCCH is monitored by a CORESET associated with the first CORESET pool. The DCI carried by a second PDCCH is monitored by a CORESET associated with the second CORESET pool.

The allocation type is a parameter utilized by the processor to determine a parameter for a configured maximum transmission power for a carrier for the uplink channel upon which the uplink transmission is transmitted. A type of the allocation type is determined depending on location of an allocated resource block for the uplink channel relative to channel bandwidth. The wireless terminal may also comprise transmitter circuitry configured to transmit the uplink transmission over the radio interface using transmission power determined by the configured maximum transmission power parameter.

The method receives a first resource set from a cell to establish a first sidelink channel with the second UE, the first resource set indicating at least a first distance between the first and second UEs. The method establishes the first sidelink channel with the second UE based on the first resource set and transmits a set of parameters associated with the first sidelink channel to the cell. The method also sets a first timer based on at least the first distance, the first timer for determining when to establish a second sidelink channel with the second UE. When the first timer is expired and no second resource set is received from the cell, the method establishes the second sidelink channel with the second UE based on the first resource set.
