According to an embodiment, a base station obtains a subset of target beams of at least one neighboring base station which is to be measured by a terminal device. The subset is based on historical association between a source beam serving the terminal device and one or more of the target beams. The base station transmits information indicating the subset to the terminal device.

A wireless communications system and a method therein for transmission of a downlink signal in a wireless communications network supporting beamforming. The system estimates uplink channel information for a radio link from a wireless device to a radio network node. The machine learning unit comprises relationships between beamforming information and uplink channel information determined based on stored pairs of reported downlink beamforming information and measured uplink channel information. A transmitting node determines data for a first service will be transmitted during a time period when data for a second service will be transmitted. The data for the first service requires lower latency than the data for the second service and the data for the first service includes an original set of data for the first service and at least one repetition of the original set of data for the first service. The transmitting node adjusts resources consumed by the data for the first service based on available transmission resources. During the time period the transmitting node then transmits the data for the first service using the adjusted resources while data for the second service is transmitted during the time period.

According to the method, a RLC packet to a second device is transmitted on a RLC layer. It is determined whether an ACK feedback for the RLC packet is received from the second device during a predetermined RLC retransmission period. In response to missing the ACK feedback during the RLC retransmission period, the RLC packet is retransmitted to the second device on the RLC layer, regardless whether a NACK feedback for the previously transmitted RLC packet is received from the second device.
