The present invention provides a novel antimicrobial polymer composition having superior weatherability and discoloration resistance to those of the prior art. The present invention provides an antimicrobial polymer composition comprising a thermosetting polymer and an antimicrobial composition having an antimicrobial coat of an aluminosilicate containing antimicrobial metal ions and an amount of thiabendazole.

Antimicrobial polymer composition

The present invention relates to a novel antimicrobial polymer composition comprising a novel crystalline antimicrobial composition. More particularly, the present invention relates to an antimicrobial polymer composition comprising a crystalline antimicrobial composition and a polymer, wherein said crystalline antimicrobial composition comprises a crystalline silicon dioxide containing silver ions and one or two optional metal ions selected from the group consisting of zinc and copper.

The present invention relates to a novel crystalline antimicrobial composition comprising silicon dioxide as a major component. The present invention provides a novel antimicrobial composition and a process for preparing the composition which composition is useful as antimicrobial and/or bactericidal material. Upon heating, the low-melting component spreads to cause more zeolite particles to be exposed, which yields higher antibacterial activity in a fiber article produced from the conjugated fibers.
