A running toy, wherein four running wheels ( ) mounted detachably on the axles of a running toy main body ( ) are provided with two axle inserting holes having those profiles formed so that they match the cross-sections of angular shaft of these axles, respectively, one of these axle inserting holes is formed at the center of running wheel ( ), and the other axle inserting hole is formed at a position eccentric from the center of the running wheel ( ) so as to obtain an irregular running mode.

In one embodiment, a running toy is provided having a rear-end portion of a fore undercarriage with front wheels pivotally coupled with a fore-end portion of a rear undercarriage with rear wheels. Further, a fore toy body is attached to the fore undercarriage, and a rear toy body is attached to the rear undercarriage, where the fore toy body and rear toy body are sustained such that these car bodies move parallel toward or away from each other, and where a rear-wheel driving mechanism for driving at least either the front wheels or the rear wheels is disclosed herein.

A rolling mechanism for a radio-controlled toy car causes a rolling motion of the radio-controlled toy car around a longitudinal direction along which the radio-controlled toy car travels. The rolling mechanism includes a rotation arm, which extends to have a component orthogonal to the longitudinal direction. The rotation arm has a free end and a pivotally fixed end, around which the rotation arm rotates, so that the free end defines a circle in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, where the circle completely encompasses the radio-controlled toy car in view of the perpendicular plane. A rotation mechanism is provided to be mechanically connected to the pivotally fixed end for forcibly rotating the rotation arm around the pivotally fixed end so as to roll the radio-controlled toy car around the longitudinal direction.

The present invention provides a steering system provided on a chassis of a toy car comprising the following elements. A rotatable steering plate is rotatably provided on the chassis so as to rotate in a horizontal plane by a predetermined maximum angle toward left and right directions from a longitudinal center axis of the chassis. A spring member is provided on the chassis and mechanically connected to the rotatable steering plate at a position spaced apart from the longitudinal center axis of the chassis for forcing the rotatable steering plate to rotate and tilt toward one of the left and right directions from the longitudinal center axis of the chassis. A steering motor is provided on the chassis for generating a rotation power and the steering motor having a motor shaft. A rotary shaft is provided on the chassis. A transmission system mechanically connects the motor shaft and the rotary shaft for transmitting the rotation power generated by the steering motor into the rotary shaft. A first wheel is so mechanically connected to a first end of the rotary shaft that the first wheel is allowed to rotate freely from the rotary shaft. A second wheel is mechanically connected to a second end of the rotary shaft. The second wheel has a clutch mechanism so operating that if the steering motor is driven, then the rotation power is transmitted to the second wheel and thus the second wheel is driven whereby the rotatable steering plate is forced to direct in parallel to the longitudinal center axis of the chassis. If, however, the steering motor is not driven, then the rotation power generated by the steering motor is not transmitted to the second wheel and thus the second wheel is not driven and does not rotate or rotates by inertia freely from the rotary shaft, whereby the rotatable steering plate is forced to rotate and tilt toward the one of the left and right directions from the longitudinal center axis of the chassis.

The invention provides A toy vehicle comprising a body being divided into two parts on front and rear sides, a chassis being divided into two parts on front and rear sides on which the front and rear side body parts are mounted respectively, the front and rear side chassis parts being so coupled with each other as to bend those at its coupling portion in upward and downward directions, driving mechanisms for coupling front and rear tires on left side with front and rear tires on right side respectively which are provided to the chassis, driving motors being engaged with the left and right side driving mechanisms respectively and a controller for controlling the driving motors to allow the left side front and rear tires and the right side front and rear tires to rotate mutually in the same direction or in opposite directions.

An improved radio-controlled track-driven vehicle comprises an innovative belt drive structure in which the rear wheels engage with the belt in positive drive, and the front wheels engage with the belt in frictional drive. According to one embodiment of the invention, the drive belt has taller central teeth that are received within a central groove of the front and rear wheels, and shorter lateral teeth that mesh with complementary toothed regions of the rear wheels and frictionally contact corresponding smooth cylindrical surfaces of the front driven wheels. In another embodiment of the invention, the belt teeth extend transversely across most of the width of the belt, with alternate teeth having disposed thereon a taller central tooth to be received within the wheel grooves.

The invention provides a novel toy vehicle comprising a body, a chassis at least having an upper surface and a rolling oscillation generating unit provided on the upper surface of the chassis for permitting the body to exhibit a rolling oscillation motion around a horizontal axis. The rolling oscillation generating unit comprises a plate mounted to an internal surface of the body, a plurality of connection rods for mechanically and movably connecting the plate to the upper surface of the chassis, and at least a pushing up member mechanically connected to the chassis and having at least two contacting portions for contacting on a flat bottom surface of the plate at least at its two symmetrical positions spaced along a vertical direction to the horizontal axis so as to permit either of the two contacting portions to pushing up the bottom surface of the plate. The two contacting portions alternatively and continuously push up the bottom surface of the movable plate to permit both the movable plate and the body to show a rolling oscillation motion around the horizontal axis.

A sound effect device for radio controllable toy vehicles is capable of producing various realistic sounds such as a klaxon horn, an emergency braking sound, a small braking sound, and a tire-squealing sound upon sharp turning. The sounds are generated depending upon the driving condition of the toy vehicle, and the device is further capable of producing realistic sounds that are readily modified various types of toy vehicles. The device may have an engine sound on/off switch and a starting switch that causes production of a first engine sound which is thereafter varied based on the driving condition of the vehicle.
