A separator includes a porous substrate, and a porous layer arranged on a surface of the porous substrate. The porous layer comprises inorganic particles and a binder, and a ratio of Dv90 of the inorganic particles to the thickness of the porous layer is in a range from 0.3 to 3.0. Excellent adhesion exists between the separator and the electrode according to the present application, which ensures that the energy storage device has good safety performance. Moreover, the rate performance and cycle performance of the energy storage device can be greatly improved due to the existence of inorganic particles in the separator.

Separator and energy storage device

An energy storage device includes a separator, the separator includes a porous substrate, and a porous layer arranged on a surface of the porous substrate. The porous layer comprises inorganic particles and a binder, and a ratio of Dv90 of the inorganic particles to the thickness of the porous layer is in a range from 0.3 to 3.0. Excellent adhesion exists between the separator and the electrode according to the present application, which ensures that the energy storage device has good safety performance. Moreover, the rate performance and cycle performance of the energy storage device can be greatly improved due to the existence of inorganic particles in the separator.

A separator includes a porous substrate and a hybrid coating layer disposed on a surface of the porous substrate. The hybrid coating layer includes a plurality of polymer particles and a binder. Each polymer particle includes a shell and a cavity defined in the shell. The polymer particle can swell and damage when comes in contact with an electrolyte.

Dv10 of the inorganic particles is less than Dv50 of the inorganic particles, and Dv50 of the inorganic particles is less than Dv90 of the inorganic particles, and the inorganic particles have particle sizes that the ratio of Dv90 to Dv10 is in a range of 2 to 100.

Porous film and lithium-ion battery

The application provides a separator and an energy storage device. The separator comprises: a porous substrate; and a porous layer arranged on a surface of the porous substrate, wherein the porous layer comprises inorganic particles and a binder, and a ratio of Dv90 of the inorganic particles to the thickness of the porous layer is in a range from 0.3 to 3.0. Excellent adhesion exists between the separator and the electrode according to the present application, which ensures that the energy storage device has good safety performance. Bonding agent used in lithium-ion battery

The application provides a porous film and a lithium-ion battery. The porous film according to the present application has excellent adhesion, and the pore structure of the porous film can still be well maintained after being immersed in the electrolyte, thereby reducing the probability of pore blockage of the porous film and allowing the lithium-ion battery to have high ionic conductivity. Therefore, the rate performance of the lithium-ion battery is greatly improved, and the lithium-ion battery provided has excellent rate performance and cycle performance.

The present disclosure provides a pouch-type secondary battery, which comprises an electrode assembly, a packaging film. The packaging film comprises a first receiving portion, a second receiving portion, a third receiving portion. The third receiving portion is parallel to the first receiving portion, a portion of the electrode tab extends out of the third receiving portion. A joint location between the second receiving portion and the first receiving portion and a joint location between the second receiving portion and the third receiving portion each are formed with a bending angle, the bending angles are equal and each range from 130&#xb0; to 160&#xb0;. Because the bending angles in the range are relatively large, when the packaging film is tightly pressed, there is no need to apply a too large pressure on the second receiving portion and the third receiving portion, so the electrode tab is not easily damaged or even ruptured.

Pouch-type secondary battery

The present disclosure relates to a lithium-ion battery bonding agent and a lithium-ion battery comprising the same. The bonding agent may be a polymer comprising structural units represented by Formula I, Formula II, Formula III, and Formula IV, and has an average molecular weight of 500,000 to 1.2 million. The bonding agent may be incorporated into at least one of a positive film, a negative film, a separator, and an electrolyte in the battery. The bonding agent can significantly improve the flexibility of the positive film, avoid processability and battery performance issues caused by the electrode film being too brittle, and help improve the compact density and battery energy density.
