Actuator and device for synchronized injection and aspiration

A method for collapsing a target vein in a patient. The method comprises providing an intravascular irritation element having a plurality of mechanical irritating objects, inserting the intravascular irritation element into a venous lumen of a target vein, and irritating the target vein by moving the plurality of mechanical irritating objects in contact with the inner surface thereof, thereby triggering a collapse of the target vein.

Vein ablation device

A blood vessel occlusion device comprising a plurality of legs having a deployed state wherein each of the plurality of legs is angled outwardly toward a vessel wall and a delivery state wherein the plurality of legs are sized and shaped for pushing into a target blood vessel and substantially in parallel to a common longitudinal axis. Each leg has an anchoring tooth at a distal end thereof and a gripping point formed therealong. Each leg switches from deployed state to delivery state by a retention element and maintained in delivery state when said retention element is supported by the gripping point.

There is provided a device for automatic synchronized injection and aspiration of fluids comprising: a first linear actuator; a second linear actuator; a first coupling mechanism attached at a distal end portion of the first linear actuator, the first coupling mechanism arranged for detachable coupling to a first plunger of a first syringe; a second coupling mechanism attached at a distal end portion of the second linear actuator, the second coupling mechanism arranged for detachable coupling to a second plunger of a second syringe; and a synchronization mechanism mechanically coupled to the first and second linear actuators, the mechanism arranged so that insertion of the first plunger further into a first barrel of the first syringe is synchronized with extraction of the second plunger from a second barrel of the second syringe, thereby injection from the first syringe is synchronized with aspiration into the second syringe.

Foam formation device and method

An ablation catheter system is disclosed that comprises a channel and a tubular braided element having an outer circumferential surface and a lumen. The tubular braided element is sized and shaped to be placed in the channel when in a compressed configuration and to be expanded in a target area of a blood vessel in a manner that the outer circumferential surface touches the walls of the target blood vessel in the target area when in an expanded configuration. The system also includes a longitudinal maneuvering element which is mechanically connected to a distal end of the tubular braided element and set to pull the distal end into the lumen so as to curve radially and outwardly a plurality of annular segments of the expand tubular braided element in a sequential manner.

A coupling device, set to be linked to an interventional delivery system, for coupling and releasing a medical implant. The coupling device comprises a generally tubular channel sized and shaped to be conducted in an intravascular catheter and a pivot extended in and along the generally tubular channel having a distal end comprising a lower surface for applying pushing force a medical implant and an upper surface, mounted above the lower generally tubular surface and having at least one niche for receiving at least one anchoring element of the medical element so that a tip of each the anchoring element is placed between the lower and upper surfaces.

Coupling devices for interventional delivery systems and methods of using such coupling devices

A device and method for treating bodily diseases and/or conditions, for example, varicose veins, tumors and aneurysms including for example insertion of a blocking device toward a target destination using a catheter and delivery of sclerosing or other agents to the vessel while maintaining minimal, for example zero pressure in the treatment area. The blocking device may prevent treatment materials, embolisms, debris etc. from entering the upstream section of vessel. The blocking device may include, for example, a cap or other concave shape and may be expandable or extendible towards the vessel walls.

The method comprises inserting a plurality of tubular ducts into a target venous lumen, conducting a liquid medical substance via at least one of the plurality of tubular ducts () for the administering thereof toward a venous wall () at the target venous lumen in an ejection pressure, quantity and direction, and withdrawing a residue of the liquid medical substance from the target venous lumen, in a suction pressure, quantity and direction, for the conducting thereof via at least one different of the plurality of tubular ducts (). A relation between the ejection pressure, quantity and direction and the suction pressure, quantity and direction limits the extent of the administering within the venous lumen to a predefined space.

A medical implant for occluding a blood vessel. The medical implant comprises a cup shaped elastic blood impermeable membrane sized and shaped for substantially occluding a lumen of a blood vessel, at least one scaffolding element mounted, sized and shaped for being attached at least one blood clot forming in front of the elastic blood impermeable membrane, and at least one anchoring element having a tip directed outward from the center of the cup shaped elastic blood impermeable membrane.
