A card edge connector includes an elongated insulative housing extending along a left-to-right direction, a plurality of conductive terminals retained in the insulative housing and an ejector retained at one end of the insulative housing. The insulative housing defines a central slot recessed from an upper surface thereof for receiving a memory module. The ejector defines a base portion and a pair of gripping portions extending upwardly from the base portion, two gripping portions have an accommodating slot located therebetween for receiving the memory module and a lump portion located in the accommodating slot. The lump portion defines an elastic arm projecting into the accommodating slot for locking the memory module, When the memory module is pulled out in a hard-interference manner, the memory module will press upwardly against the elastic arm so that the elastic arm is elastically deformed to release the memory module.

Card edge connector with an improved ejector

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing having a longitudinal slot and at least one row of contacts retained in the housing. Each of the contacts defines a retention portion, a resilient contacting arm extending from the retention portion with a contacting portion protruding into the longitudinal slot, and a soldering tail extending out of the housing. The contacts include at least two differential pairs adjacent to each other and at least one grounding contact sandwiched therebetween in the longitudinal direction. The contacting portions of each differential pairs are closer to the mating face than the contacting portion of the grounding contact in the mating direction, which can improve resonance of the electrical connector during transferring high-speed signals.

A card edge connector includes an ejector () with a pushing portion () extending from distal end thereof, the ejector () moves between an opening station and a locking station, and at least pair detecting contacts () which includes two detecting pins (), one of the detecting pins defines a spring engaging arm having an engaging portion () opposite to the pushing portion () which presses on the engaging portion () in the locking station or leave the engaging portion () in the opening station, thereby making the two detecting pins engage or disengage with each other for detecting if a memory card is inserted in the card edge connector or not.

A terminal strip includes a number of terminals and a strip connecting the terminals. The terminal has a body, a soldering portion extending downwardly from the body and a spring beam extending upwardly from the body. The strip has a number of slots defined during punching the soldering portion thereof. The body has a bottom edge and a connecting portion connecting with the soldering portion. A breaking cut is formed in the connecting place between the bottom edge and the strip. The breaking cut is distributed into a number of slots connecting with each other. The configuration of the breaking slot can make several slots each with a short tearing journey when the terminals are separated from the strip, that can improve the efficacy of the product yield.

A card edge connector includes an elongated housing extending along an elongated direction thereof, and having a first housing half, a second housing half being discrete from the first housing half, and a central slot formed between the first and the second housing halves. A width of the central slot could be adjusted before mounting the card edge connector to a mother board for receiving different daughter boards with different thicknesses.

A card edge connector comprises an insulative housing defining a front mating face and a central slot recessed rearwardly from the mating face. A plurality of contacts each has a contact portion exposed into the central for mating with a complementary connector and a solder tail exposed to outside of the housing. A cover is assembled to a rear side of the housing. A spacer sandwiched between the housing and the cover along a front-to-rear direction. The spacer defines a plurality of through holes through which the solder tails of the contacts passing.

A card edge connector for use with a daughter board, and comprises an insulative elongated housing extending along a longitudinal direction, and defining opposite first and second side walls and a central slot formed therebetween for receiving the daughter board therein, a plurality of contacts each defining a retention portion retained in the housing, a resilient contact portion extending into the central slot from an upper portion of the retention portion for contacting with the daughter board, and a solder tail extending out of the housing form a lower portion of the retention portion. Wherein the contacts include a first row of contacts disposed in the first side wall, and a second row of contacts disposed in the second side wall. The first row of contacts have at least two adjacent grounding contacts electrically connected with each other during the contact portions of the contacts are contacting with the daughter board.

A card edge connector includes an elongated housing and a number of contacts retained in the housing. Each contact has a retaining portion retained in the housing, a contact portion forwardly extending from a front end of the retaining portion and a connecting portion backwardly extending from a rear end of the retaining portion. The contacts are arranged in two rows and formed with a first receiving space between two rows of contact portions to receive a module and a second receiving space between two rows of connecting portions to receive a mother board. The first receiving space defines a first center line along an insertion direction of the module. The second receiving space defines a second center line which is parallel to the first center line and offset to the first center line along an up to down direction perpendicular to the insertion direction.
