The present invention provides a freezer bag comprising a multibag having at least an inner liner bag and an outer support bag, the inner liner bag having a first sidewall and a second sidewall attached together along respective lateral edges forming edge seals, each sidewall having a top edge, and the liner bag having a folded edge defining the bottom of the liner bag, the outer support bag having two sidewalls attached together along respective lateral edges forming edge seals, each sidewall having top edges defining the opening to the multibag, and the support bag having a folded edge defining the bottom of the multibag, the top edges of the liner bag being attached to an inner surface of each respective sidewall of the support bag wherein the liner is thermoplastic and has a thickness of less than 2.0 mil (50.8 micron).

Functional freezer storage bag

A coextruded multilayer film having increased retention of volatile antioxidants and process for making the film. The multilayer film includes an antioxidant layer containing a volatile antioxidant, said antioxidant layer being semipermeable to the volatile antioxidant; and a barrier layer, impermeable to the volatile antioxidant. The film can be produced on a conventional blown film process with the barrier layer coextruded externally to the antioxidant layer. The barrier layer traps the volatile antioxidant inside the tube of the blown film process, reducing the amount of volatile antioxidant migrating from the film.

Multilayered antioxidant film

A flexible film and flexible food storage bag for packaging produce such as vegetables and fruits wherein the film or bag has plurality of microholes specifically designed to allow the produce to breath in a controlled rate such that localized condensation and weight loss is minimized, which in turn reduces microbial (bacteria and mold) growth and reduces produce mushiness (softness) respectively.
