Described herein are compounds according to Formula (I) wherein each Rf is independently selected from a perfluorinated divalent group comprising 2 to 12 carbon atoms; and m is an integer independently selected from 1 to 3. A method of making the compound from a hydroxy-containing vinyl ether and excess ammonia is disclosed. In one embodiment, the hydroxy-functionalized triazine compound is used in a curable fluoropolymer composition and cured to form articles.

A composition includes a compound having structural formula (I): Rf—S—Rh (I) wherein (i) Rf is a partially fluorinated or perfluorinated group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms and optionally comprises one or more catenated heteroatoms, and (ii) Rh is a non-fluorinated hydrocarbon group having 1-3 carbon atoms and optionally comprises one or more catenated heteroatoms. The composition further includes an organic lubricant contaminant.

Hydrofluorothioethers and methods of using same

Described herein are compounds according to Formula (I) wherein Rf is a perfluorinated divalent group comprising 2 to 12 carbon atoms; and Z is selected from —CH═CH, and —CHCH═CH. A method of making the compound from a functionalized vinyl ether and ammonia is disclosed. In one embodiment, the functionalized triazine-containing compound is used in the polymerization of a fluoropolymer. In another embodiment, the functionalized triazine-containing compound is used in a curable fluoropolymer composition and cured to form articles.

The fluoropolymer preferably comprises at least 80, 85, or 90% by weight of polymerized units of perfluorinated monomers and cure sites selected from nitrile, iodine, bromine, and chlorine. Illustrative electronic communication articles include integrated circuits, printed circuit boards, antennas, and optical fiber cables. Fluoropolymer compositions are also described.

Described herein is an oligomer according to formula I: (I) wherein Y is an anionic group selected from the group consisting of: sulfates, carboxylates, phosphate, phosphonate, and sulfonate, wherein each X, X, and Xare independently selected from F, Cl, H, and CF; R is a linking group; each Zand Zis independently selected from F and CF; m is at least 2; and Rand Rare end groups, wherein the oligomer comprises substantially no pendant functional groups, except those selected from the group consisting of: sulfates, carboxylates, phosphate, phosphonate, and sulfonate.
