A method for processing a data transaction using a single business object includes providing a transaction business object encapsulating multiple function calls for completing a data transaction. The transaction business object includes an execution sequence indicating the order the function calls should be executed. In certain embodiments, the transaction business object is assigned an operation indicating an action to be taken on data in the transaction business object. This operation is used, in selected embodiments, to determine the function calls and execution sequence that are used to process the transaction business object.

Method for encapsulating logical units of work using business objects

An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for managing inbound transactions from an SAP application. A transaction ID module is included that receives a transaction identifier ('TID') associated with an event from an SAP application by way of an ALE interface for an asynchronous transaction. A recording module is included to record an event record in an event tracking repository by way of an XA transaction, the event record comprising the TID and an associated transaction status. An intermediate document module is included to receive an intermediate document ('IDoc') containing transaction data from a transaction associated with the event and the associated TID from the SAP application by way of the ALE interface using a Transaction Remote Function Call protocol. A conversion module is included to convert the IDoc to a service data object (&#x201c;SDO&#x201d;) and an SDO transmit module is included to transmit the SDO to an endpoint using the XA transaction.

Apparatus, system, and method for asynchronous complex inbound transactions from SAP applications using service oriented architecture

An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for managing outbound transactions in a service oriented architecture. An execution module is included to receive a J2EE Connector Architecture ('J2C') execute command associated with a service data object ('SDO') containing transaction data from a client application. A conversion module is included to convert the SDO to an Intermediate Document (&#x201c;IDoc&#x201d;). A transmission module is included to transmit the IDoc and an associated transaction identifier (&#x201c;TID&#x201d;) to an SAP application using a transaction Remote Function Call (&#x201c;tRFC&#x201d;) protocol for processing the embedded transaction data. A confirmation module is included to transmit the SDO updated with the TID to the client application in response to acknowledgement of receipt of the transaction data from the SAP application.

Apparatus, system, and method for asynchronous outbound transaction event processing into an SAP application using service oriented architecture

An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed to signal a logical error in a function call made by an integration adapter. The apparatus includes an communication module, a code extraction module, a comparison module, and an error report module. The communication module receives a business object having an error dictionary in response to a function call. The code extraction module extracts an error code value from the business object based on an error code location identifier. The comparison module compares the error code value to an associated error code in the error code dictionary. The error report module signals a logical error in the function call.

Apparatus, system, and method for signaling logical errors in an EIS remote function call

An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for the direct retrieval of hierarchical data from an SAP system. The apparatus includes an input module, a table hierarchy module, a query builder module, a query execution module, and a response builder module. The input module receives a table business object comprising a query criteria. The table hierarchy module determines a table hierarchy associated with the table business object. The query builder module builds a native SAP query based on the table hierarchy and the query criteria. The query execution module executes the native SAP query directly on an SAP database. The response builder module returns results of the native SAP query.
