A (meth)acrylate functional silicone and method for its preparation are provided. This (meth)acrylate functional silicone may have pendant poly(meth)acrylate-functional groups. This (meth)acrylate functional silicone may have terminal alkenyl groups. This (meth)acrylate functional silicone may be used in pressure sensitive adhesives.

(Meth)acrylate functional silicone and methods for its preparation and use

A silicone hybrid pressure sensitive adhesive composition that cures to form a silicone hybrid pressure sensitive adhesive contains a polydiorganosiloxane having reactive groups. The reactive groups include a silicon bonded(meth)acryloxyalkyl-functional group in a pendant position and optionally a silicon bonded aliphatically unsaturated hydrocarbon group in a terminal position. The silicone hybrid pressure sensitive adhesive composition can be cured via hydrosilylation reaction on a surface of a substrate to form a protective film. The protective film can be used to protect a passivation layer during a process for fabricating an (opto)electronic device such as a flexible organic light emitting diode display. The protective film can be exposed to radiation to reduce tack and facilitate detaching the protective film from the passivation layer.

A branched organosilicon compound is provided which has the general formula (R)3Si—X—NR—X—NR2- In the formula: each Ris selected from R and —OSi(R)3, with the proviso that at least one Ris —OSi(R); each R4 is selected from R, —OSi(R5)3, and —[OSiR2]mOSiR3; each Ris selected from R, —OSi(R), and —[OSiR]OSiR; each R6 is selected from R and —[OSiR]OSiR; with the proviso that at least one of R, Rand R6 is —[OSiR]mOSiR; 0<m≤100. Each R is independently a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbyl group, e.g. a methyl group. Each of X and Xis an independently selected divalent linking group, e.g. a divalent hydrocarbon linking group. Each Rindependently comprises a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbyl group, a polyether group, or H. At least one Rcomprises a polyether group. A method of preparing the branched organosilicon compound and a composition comprising the branched organosilicon compound are also provided.

A branched organosilicon compound is provided having the general formula: (R)—X—[SiR0]—SiRR. In the formula: each R is independently a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbyl group; each Ris selected from R and —OSi(R), with the proviso that at least one Ris —OSi(R); each Ris selected from R, —OSi(R), and —[OSiR]OSiR; each R5 is selected from R, —OSi(R), and —[OSiR]OSiR; each Ris selected from R and —[OSiR]OSiR; with the proviso that at least one of R, Rand Ris —[OSiR]OSiR; 0≤m≤100; X is a divalent linking group; 1≤n≤10; and Rhas the general -D-O—(CHO)—R. In R, D is a divalent hydrocarbon linking group, subscript p is 0 or 1, subscript q is independently selected from 2 to 4 in each moiety indicated by subscript r, subscript r is from 1 to 500, and Ris selected from substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbyl groups and H.

A silicone hybrid pressure sensitive adhesive composition that cures to form a silicone hybrid pressure sensitive adhesive contains a polydiorganosiloxane having reactive groups. The reactive groups include a silicon bonded (meth)acryloxyalkyl-functional group in a pendant position and a silicon bonded aliphatically unsaturated hydrocarbon group. An adhesive article, such as a tape, can be formed by coating the silicone hybrid pressure sensitive adhesive composition on a surface of a substrate and curing said composition via hydrosilylation reaction (B-staged cure) to form a silicone hybrid pressure sensitive adhesive layer on the surface. The silicone hybrid pressure sensitive adhesive layer contains (meth)acryloxyalkyl-functional groups, which can further react and crosslink via exposure to UV radiation (C-staged cure).

Silicone hybrid pressure sensitive adhesive and methods for its preparation and use on uneven surfaces

A composition contains a silylated polysaccharide, where the silylated polysaccharide is characterized by: (a) having linked fructose, galactose, anhydrogalactose, or glucose saccharide units provided that glycosidic linkages of glucose are alpha linkages and that the silylated polysaccharide is other than a silylated starch; and (b) on average 1 to 100 mole-percent of the hydroxyl groups on the polysaccharide have been silylated with a silyl group having the structure —SiRlinked to the polysaccharide through a C—O—Si bond where each R is independently selected from hydrocarbyl radicals having from one to 12 carbon atoms, provided that on average at least one R per polysaccharide has a terminally unsaturated carbon-carbon double bond.

Terminal alkenyl functional silylated polysaccharides

A cationic surfactant is disclosed. The cationic surfactant has the general formula [Z-D-N(-D-NR+)(R)][X]where Z is a siloxane moiety or an unsubstituted hydrocarbyl moiety having from 5 to 20 carbon atoms, D is a covalent bond or a divalent linking group, Dis a divalent linking group, R is H or an unsubstituted hydrocarbyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, each Ris an independently selected unsubstituted hydrocarbyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, subscript a is 1 or 2, and each X is an anion. A method of preparing the cationic surfactant is also disclosed.

Cationic silicone surfactants and method of preparing same

A foam stabilizing composition is disclosed. The composition comprises (A) a siloxane cationic surfactant comprising a cationic moiety having the formula Z-D-N(Y)(R), wherein Zis a siloxane moiety, Dis a divalent linking group, R is H or an unsubstituted hydrocarbyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, subscript a is 1 or 2, and each Y has formula -D-NR+, where D is a divalent linking group and each Ris independently an unsubstituted hydrocarbyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms. The composition also comprises (B) an organic cationic surfactant comprising a cationic moiety having the formula Z-D-N(Y)(R), wherein Zis an unsubstituted hydrocarbyl group, Dis a covalent bond or a divalent linking group, subscript b is 1 or 2, and R, Y, and subscript a, are defined above. An aqueous film-forming foam comprising the composition and method of using the same are also disclosed.

Cationic surfactant foam stabilizing composition

A cosmetic composition comprises (A) a silicone elastomer. The (A) silicone elastomer comprises the reaction product of: (a) a branched organosiloxane; (b) a crosslinking agent; and (c) a hydrosilylation catalyst. The cosmetic composition further comprises (B) a carrier fluid. A method of preparing the cosmetic composition is also disclosed.

Siloxane composition

A detergent composition comprises a trisiloxane having at least one carbinol functional group. The trisiloxane comprises the reaction product of (A) an initial trisiloxane and (B) an organic compound. Component (A) has a pendant silicon-bonded functional group selected from a hydrogen atom, an epoxy-containing group, an ethylenically unsaturated group, and an amine group. Typically, component (A) is free of certain terminal silicon-bonded functional groups and is free of polyoxyalkylene groups. Component (B) has a functional group reactive with the pendant silicon-bonded functional group of component (A), and has at least one hydroxyl functional group. The trisiloxane may be of the following general formula (I): (RSiO)(RRSiO)(RSiO) (I). In formula (I), each Ris an independently selected hydrocarbyl group. Rmay be selected from the groups (i) to (x) described herein, each of the groups having at least one carbinol group. Typically, the trisiloxane has 1-6 carbinol groups.
