The present disclosure is directed to in grade light fixtures and recessed luminaires and subassemblies thereof, including, for example, a heat sink and pivot for a recessed luminaire, a gasket for the recessed luminaire, and an outer box and cover for installation of the recessed luminaire. The recessed luminaire comprises: a housing having an internal surface; and a light subassembly engaged with a thermally conductive body, the light subassembly having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end of the light subassembly is pivotally secured to a pivot arranged on, in, or proximate to the internal surface of the housing. The thermally conductive body is in thermal contact with the internal surface of the housing. The recessed luminaire further comprises a dehumidifier.

A lighting system () including a plurality of LED-based light sources (), where each of the light sources includes an optic holder () with an upper edge region (). The arrangement of the optic holders within the lighting system results in gaps () between neighboring optic holders. The system includes a plurality of interstitial spacers () manufactured on or attached to the upper edge region of the optic holders, such that the interstitial spacers are arranged to substantially fill the one or more gaps.

Methods and apparatus for optic holder design

The present application is directed to heat sinks for light emitting devices. In particular, the heat sinks can provide effective heat dissipation in a variety of different orientations and positions. In one exemplary heat sink, different groups () of essentially parallel fins () can be separated and disposed at particular angles to form fluid channels (and) that enable fluid flow in different directions and orientations.
