A terminal enclosure () for optical fibers for communication comprising a housing, including a base () and a cover, and an extractable fiber organizer tray (), that is disposable in the housing having a first and a second side. The extractable fiber organizer tray comprises a splicing portion (), a fiber connector mounting portion () and portions for storing an entering jacketed cable () as well as the fibers () of the stripped portion of the cable ().

A port entry device () is described for inserting a telecommunication cable () containing optical fibers into a telecommunications enclosure (). In particular, the port entry device () is an oval port sealing device. The port entry device includes a tubular housing (), a split sleeve () and a pair of clamping nuts (). The tubular housing has an interior passageway () between a first end () of the housing and a second end () of the housing. The interior passageway can include a first cable channel () and a second cable channel (). The housing can have an elliptical cross section. The split sleeve () positions the telecommunication cable () within the port entry device () when the split sleeve () is inserted into the interior passageway () of the housing (). The clamping nuts are attachable to the second end () of the housing to secure the split sleeve () within the housing ().

A connection article is provided for a cable comprising at least one wire. The connection article comprises a holder, at least one connector arranged in the holder and having a first receiving opening for receiving a wire to be connected, and guiding means arranged in front of the first receiving opening of the at least one connector, the first receiving opening defining a cross section and the guiding means comprising at least one guiding passage extending through the guiding means and aligned with the first receiving opening of the at least one connector for guiding a wire into the first receiving opening of the connector. The at least one guiding passage comprises opposite distal and proximal ends, the proximal end facing towards and the distal end facing away from the first receiving opening of the at least one connector. The proximal end has a cross section not larger than the cross section of the first receiving opening of the at least one connector. The distal end has a cross section larger than the cross section of the proximal end.

A re-enterable enclosure for a splice between cables, comprises two cover members with internal walls that are configured to form a cavity for enclosing the cable splice when the cover members are engaged with each other in a closed position. At least one of the cover members also has internal walls that are configured to define containment spaces which at least partly surround the cavity. In use, those containment spaces may contain sealant material. At least one internal wall in one cover member can telescope into a containment space in the other cover member so that, if sealant material is contained therein, it will be compressed when the cover members are engaged with each other in the closed position. By changing the containment spaces that are used to contain sealant material, different levels of protection against humidity can be provided for the cable splice in the cavity.
