This seat includes a guard-rail able to occupy a lowered first extreme position and a raised second extreme position, and means for locking the guard rail when it is in a lowered position. The locking means include a bistable electromagnet provided with a rod that is able to move between a stable first position in which the rod allows the guard rail to lock in the lowered position by interposing an obstacle in the upward path described by a guard rail element to pass from the lowered position to the raised position, and a stable second position in which the rod allows the guard rail to unlock so that it can be moved into the raised position by moving the obstacle away from the upward path described by the guard rail element.

This vehicle includes a guard rail intended to occupy a lowered position delimiting a closed space that prevents a passenger from falling and a raised position in which the guard rail opens up the space at the front of the vehicle to allow one or more passengers to board and disembark. The vehicle also includes means for locking the guard rail in the lowered position, wherein the locking means includes a locking lever having a first end provided with a bearing surface and with a blocking surface, the bearing surface and the blocking surface delimiting a first housing intended to accommodate part of the guard rail, and a second end in which a locking member designed to immobilize the second end of the locking lever is intended to engage when the guard rail is in the lowered position.

Ski lift seat including a frame and a restraining bar which is capable of assuming a first lowered end position defining an enclosed space that makes it possible to prevent a passenger from falling, and a second lifted end position in which the restraining bar frees up the front space of the seat so as to enable one or more passengers to disembark, the ski lift seat including an arrangement for locking the restraining bar when the latter assumes the lowered position, the arrangement including a first magnetic member which is attached on the frame and which engages with a second member that can be magnetized so as to hold the restraining bar in the lowered position.
