A flow control valve for fluidized material comprises a valve housing having a valve chamber with a valve seat and a valve plug having a flow passage, the valve plug being arranged inside the valve chamber in front of the valve seat () so as to be rotatable about an axis of rotation for controlling a flow through the flow control valve. It further comprises spring means biasing the valve plug against the valve seat perpendicularly to the axis of rotation, for achieving a sealing contact between the valve seat and the valve plug. According to an important aspect of the invention, the spring means comprises at least one cantilever spring () arranged in a clearance space opposite to the valve seat () so as to bias the valve plug against the valve seat.

Flow control valve for fluidized material

The present invention proposes a pulverized coal injection lance () for feeding pulverized coal from a rear end of the lance () to a front end () of the lance (). The lance () comprises an outer pipe () for conveying combustive gas, and an inner pipe (), coaxially arranged within the outer pipe (), for conveying pulverized coal. The inner pipe () forms a separation wall for separating the pulverized coal from the combustive gas. The separation wall is at least partially discontinued in a region near the front end () of the lance (), thereby forming a mixing region () within the pulverized coal injection lance (). According to an important aspect of the invention, the outer pipe () and the inner pipe () have substantially the same length and wherein the inner pipe () comprises at least one lateral opening () for allowing pulverized coal and combustive gas to come into contact within the pulverized coal injection lance () near the front end ().

Pulverized coal injection lance

A device for monitoring the mass flow of a particulate solids flow in a pneumatic pipeline includes a measuring chamber and an impact body. Through an inlet connection the particulate solids flow is blown as a compact solid/gas jet onto the impact body, so as to impact thereon with substantially its whole cross-section. An acoustic transducer is associated with the impact body for sensing structure-born acoustic waves, which are generated by the compact solid/gas jet impacting onto the impact body, and transforming them into an output signal. Signal processing process the output signal so as to derive a value that is representative of the mass flow rate of the particulate solids flow.

Method and device for monitoring a mass flow in a pneumatic pipeline

A device for introducing poorly flowing bulk material into a feed line includes a swirl chamber connectable to a feed line so as to form an inlet aperture in a side wall of the swirl chamber. The device further includes a diffuser plate through which a loosening fluid may be introduced into the swirl chamber. The diffuser plate is arranged in the vicinity of the inlet aperture in the side wall of the swirl chamber. A device for producing a gas flow is also provided inside the swirl chamber, the gas flow being directed in the direction of the inlet aperture.

Device for passing heavily flowing bulk material into a delivery pipe

A device for discharging dust from a dry dust collector of a blast furnace includes a dust discharge vent located downstream of a dust discharge opening of the dry dust collector. A fully enclosed dust conveying system is located downstream of the dust discharge valve and provides mechanized transport of the dust discharged through the discharge valve. A control system is utilized to control the opening of the dust discharge valve in relation to the residual conveying capacity of the dust conveying system.
