An application of a client includes a proof data generation device, a command generation device, and a command issuing device. A command and proof data are sent to a server from the application of the client, and a command management device of the server receives them. A proof data verification device verifies the access right of a user to the application on the basis of the proof data, and enables a data storage device to be accessed in accordance with the command, if the verification is successful. The data storage device, used instead of a commonly used hard disk drive, includes a phase change type optical memory or a phase separation type optical memory to execute write once recording. Thus, the access to the data storage device is flexibly controlled.

There are provided a recording liquid that produces high-quality images having a very high image density and water resistance without blotting or permeating into recording paper, and excels in discharging properties; and a method for recording images by the use of such a solution. The recording liquid for ink printers according to the present invention contains a colorant, water, and a fine particle of non-photo-curable resin and a fine particle of photo-curable resin. There are provided a recording liquid that produces high-quality images having a very high image density and water resistance, and can be discharged continuously and stably; a method for manufacturing such a solution; and a method for recording images by the use of such a solution. The recording liquid for ink printers according to the present invention contains a pigment and at least two kinds of fine resin particles, wherein the dispersion polarity of the pigment is the same as the dispersion polarity of each of the two or more kinds of fine resin particles. The method for manufacturing a recording liquid for ink printers has the step of mixing an aqueous dispersion of a pigment, and an aqueous dispersion of the two or more kinds of fine resin particles each having a polarity the same as the polarity of the aqueous dispersion of the pigment. The method for recording images on a recording medium has the step of discharging droplets of the recording liquid from a recording head, wherein the above recording liquid is used as the recording liquid.

Recording liquid for ink printers, method of the manufacture thereof, and method of image recording

A recording liquid including a colorant, water and at least two kinds of fine resin particles. In a preferred embodiment, at least one of the two kinds of the fine resin particles are fine self-crosslinkable resin particles. In another preferred embodiment, the number of the kinds of the fine resin particles is 3 or more. Also, disclosed is an image recording method using the recording liquid.

Recording liquid and image recording method

A recording liquid comprising a colorant, water and at least two kinds of fine resin particles. In a preferred embodiment, at least one of the two kinds of the fine resin particles are fine self-crosslinkable resin particles. In another preferred embodiment, the number of the kinds of the fine resin particles is 3 or more. Also, disclosed is an image recording method using the recording liquid.

Described are an ink composition comprising water, a colorant and acrylic silicone resin particles having alkoxysilyl groups; and an image recording method comprising discharging the droplet of an ink composition from a recording head to record an image on a substrate, wherein an ink composition comprising water, a colorant and acrylic silicone resin particles having alkoxysilyl groups is used as the ink composition. According to the present invention, 1) blotting of the ink composition on the substrate can be prevented, 2) an image which has water resistance and has a markedly high image density can be obtained, 3) an image does not become sticky even under a high environmental temperature, and 4) there is no problem in safety.

Ink composition and image recording method

The ink composition of the present invention comprises water, colorant and fine particles of a resin containing fluoroolefin units. The fine particles of resin may be preferably fine particles of fluorine-containing vinyl ether resin composed of fluoroolefin units and vinyl ether units represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein X is selected from the group consisting of F, CF.sub.3 and Cl; Y is selected from the group consisting of R.sub.2, R.sub.3 OH and R.sub.4 COOH; R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms; R.sub.2 is an alkyl group having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms; R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are alkylene groups having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms respectively, n and m are integers, and the ratio of m to n, m/n, is in the range of 1/99 to 99/1. The ink composition of the present invention is able to record an image of high density and superior water resistance with only a small amount of ink.

An electrophotographic photoreceptor and process for preparing the same, the photoreceptor comprising a conductive substrate having thereon a photoconductive layer and a surface layer in this order, the photoconductive layer comprising amorphous silicon containing at least one of hydrogen and a halogen, and the surface layer comprising a dried and/or cured product under a reduced pressure of an inorganic or organic high molecular weight material containing fine particles of a conductive metal oxide dispersed therein.

Electrophotographic photoreceptor and process for preparing the same

An electrostatic image-bearing dielectric member comprises a support and a dielectric layer formed on the support. The dielectric layer is formed of at least one of amorphous carbon, diamond-like carbon and diamond. The dielectric layer may contain not larger than 60 atomic percent of at least one of hydrogen and fluorine. An intermediate layer may be provided between the support and the dielectric layer in order to improve the adhesion therebetween.

Electrostatic image-bearing dielectric member

In an electrophotographic system, an electrostatic latent image as formed on a photoreceptor is developed with a developing agent to form a toner image thereon, a transfer paper is laid over the toner image and pressure is applied to the photoreceptor and the transfer paper so as to transfer or simultaneously transfer and fix the toner image onto the transfer paper. The photoreceptor is one having a surface protecting layer and a light-sensitive layer made of a hydrogenated and/or fluorinated amorphous silicon. The light-sensitive layer and the surface protecting layer of the photoreceptor are uniformly heated to a constant temperature. A charging device or a discharging brush or blade is used as a device of discharging the charges of the photoreceptor after the transference.

Electrophotographic apparatus and process for simultaneously

An electrophotographic photoreceptor comprising: an electrically conductive substrate, a charge injection blocking layer formed on said electrically conductive substrate, a photoconductive layer comprising a single layer formed on said charge injection blocking layer, said photoconductive layer comprising amorphous silicon containing boron, a positive hole capturing layer formed on said photoconductive layer, said positive hole capturing layer being selected from the group comprising amorphous silicon containing less than 50 ppm boron and amorphous silicon being substantially composed of hydrogen and silicon atoms, and a surface layer formed on said positive hole capturing layer. The boron concentration contained in said photoconductive layer is 0.01-1000 ppm. The surface layer is formed by amorphous silicon nitride, amorphous silicon oxide, amorphous silicon carbide or amorphous carbon as a main body. The charge injection blocking layer has amorphous silicon as a main body and contains a group V element. The electrophotographic photoreceptor is excellent in the dark attenuation, the sensitivity and electrification capacity and does not cause image flow or image fogging on copied images obtained by using the photoreceptor.

Negatively chargeable electrophotographic photoreceptor

A negative-charging electrophotographic photoreceptor comprising an electrically conductive support having consecutively thereon (a) a charge injection prevention layer having a thickness of from 0.15 to 10 .mu.m, (b) a photoconductive layer, and (c) a surface layer, the charge injection prevention layer (a) comprising amorphous silicon containing at least one of a hydrogen atom and a halogen atom, and containing a nitrogen atom in an atomic ratio of from 0.01 to 0.65 to the silicon atom, the photoconductive layer (b) comprising amorphous silicon containing at least one of a hydrogen atom and a halogen atom.

Electrophotographic photoreceptor and electrophotographic process

A process for producing an electrophotographic photoreceptor comprising the steps of forming a photoconductive layer on a conductive substrate in a reaction chamber, and after the photoconductive layer is formed, forming a surface protection layer on the photoconductive layer by introducing into the reaction chamber a gaseous mixture comprising (i) a first component, fluorohydrocarbon gas, and (ii) a second component silicon, hydride gas, or a hydrocarbon gas and/or hydrogen gas and decomposing the gaseous mixture by glow discharge, wherein the surface protection layer thus formed comprises amorphous silicon carbide when the second component is a silicon hydride gas or amorphous carbon when the second component is a hydrocarbon gas and/or hydrogen gas. The surface protection layer exhibits sufficient hardness to protect the photoconductive layer from frictional scratches and other related damage.

An electrophotographic photoreceptor is disclosed, comprising an electrically conductive substrate having provided thereon at least a photoconductive layer and a surface layer, wherein the photoconductive layer comprises (a) a charge transporting layer mainly composed of amorphous silicon containing at least one of hydrogen and a halogen and at least one selected from carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen and (b) a charge generating layer composed of amorphous silicon containing at least one of hydrogen and a halogen or amorphous silicon containing at least one of hydrogen and a halogen and at least one selected from germanium and tin, and the surface layer is composed of at least one of an organic polymer material and an inorganic polymer material having dispersed therein an electrically conductive fine powder. The photoreceptor shows less dark decay of the charged potential, does not cause image blurring under a high-humidity condition, and forms an image having no moire in a laser printer using a coherent light source.
