An object is to provide a technique that enables making an adjustment from a direction where a video display surface is located, in order to provide inconspicuous seams between one of video display devices and other adjacent video display devices even when there are no workable spaces behind the video display devices. A multi-display system includes a plurality of LED display tiles, a position adjusting mechanism, and a pull-out mechanism. The position adjusting mechanism includes a lock mechanism that switches between a locking state and an unlocking state. When the lock mechanism is in the locking state, each of the LED display tiles is fastened in a retraction position. When the lock mechanism is in the unlocking state, each of the LED display tiles is movable between the retraction position and a pull-out position by the pull-out mechanism while being floated and supported via an elastic support portion.

Multi-display system, video display device, and pull-out mechanism

It is an object of the present invention to provide an LED panel and an LED display that enhance orientation properties of LEDs and the efficiency of light use with a simple configuration. It is a different object of the present invention to provide a method for manufacturing the LED display panel, the method reducing an increase in process step. An LED display panel according to an aspect of the present invention includes the following: a plurality of chip-on-board LEDs mounted on a substrate, the LEDs each having a light-emitting surface on a surface opposite a substrate side; and a plurality of light-transmissive members. Each light-transmissive member is disposed on the substrate to cover the light-emitting surface of at least one of the LEDs. Each light-transmissive member is configured to enhance the directionality of outgoing light emitted from the LEDs.

Method for manufacturing LED display panel

A screen is provided with microcapsules and a base material. The microcapsules each contain encapsulated liquid inside a capsule membrane. The microcapsules are planarly arranged on the base material. The encapsulated liquid includes light diffusion particles for scattering light, and a dispersion medium for dispersing the light diffusion particles. In a cross sectional area of the microcapsule projected in the direction perpendicular to the surface of the base material on which the microcapsules are planarly arranged, the ratio of the area of the encapsulated region to the area of the microcapsule ranges from 0.9025 to 0.990.

Screen, optical element, and display device

A screen includes a light diffusion layer in which microcapsules, each having therein a light diffusion liquid that scatters light for displaying a video image, are planarly arranged. The light diffusion layer is fixed to a supporting sheet by a binder material. On a surface of the supporting sheet, a Fresnel lens is formed. A light diffusion plate is made up of the light diffusion layer and the supporting sheet. The screen is made up of the light diffusion plate and a light diffusion plate. Scattering distribution of a scattered wave of light that passes through the light diffusion layer temporally changes.

A display apparatus displaying an image includes a light source, a light valve, a light cross-section converter and a light scanning mechanism. The light valve has a screen formed of a plurality of pixels. The light cross-section converter converts light emitted from the light source into illumination light having a cross section enough to illuminate at least one pixel at a time.
