A waterproof structure for a connector includes a housing retaining terminals and having an opening, a cover closing the opening, and a packing mounted on the cover and sealing between the housing and the cover at the opening. The cover has through holes and projections projecting from an outer surface of the cover. The packing has a body sandwiched between the housing and the cover and locked portions continuous to the body. The locked portion projects from the through hole to an exterior space of the cover toward a direction in which the projection projects, and the locked portion is locked by the projection at least in a direction perpendicular to the direction of projection of the projection.

A connection structure of a shield terminal () is electrically connected and fixed to an opening end part of a tubular braided wire () covering a covered wire () along the long direction. A connector includes a housing, an electroconductive member, and a retraction mechanism. The housing includes: a fitting portion to be fit to a counterpart fitting portion of a casing of a device to which the connector is to be connected; and a fixture portion to be secured to a fixture-portion receiving portion of the casing. The fixture portion is brought into contact with the fixture-portion receiving portion during a progress of the fitting of the fitting portion. The electroconductive member includes: a first electrical-connection portion to be brought into contact with a counterpart electrical-connection portion and thereby electrically connected thereto during the progress of the fitting of the fitting portion, the counterpart electrical-connection portion being included in the counterpart fitting portion; and a second electrical-connection portion connected electrically to a terminal of an electric wire. A terminal fitting includes a cylindrical portion having a first crimping region and a second crimping region. A crimped state of a braided body extending through the terminal fitting is formed between the terminal fitting and a cable at the first crimping region such that relative movements of the terminal fitting and the braided body are prevented, and an end of the braided body is then folded back and positioned to face an outer surface of the cylindrical portion in a radial direction. The crimped state of the braided body is then formed between a sleeve and the terminal fitting at the second crimping region, so that the terminal fitting is fixed to the braided body.

A spacer has a first cylindrical portion where a primary crimped state of a braided member is formed between the spacer and a cable. After the primary crimped state is formed, in a state in which a second flange of the terminal fitting fitted around the cable and the braided member is in contact with a first flange, a sleeve fitted around a second cylindrical portion forms a crimped state of the braided member between the sleeve and the terminal fitting at the second cylindrical portion, so that the terminal fitting is fixed to the braided member.

A rear holder is attached to a wire lead-out opening for leading out an electric wire from a housing. The rear holder includes an inner holder. An inner circumferential surface of a through hole of the rear holder is formed so that a part of the inner circumferential surface includes a small diameter portion and the remaining part includes a large diameter portion. A hood portion having an arc shape is provided in the inner holder, and the hood portion is formed so that, in a state that the inner holder is assembled to the rear holder, the hood portion is inserted into the large diameter portion while each of opposite circumferential ends of the hood portion abuts against a step surface in a border between the large diameter portion and the small diameter portion.

A female terminal assembly includes: a female terminal body in which a male terminal receiving space is formed internally; and a cylindrical spring contact which is received in the male terminal receiving space from a male terminal insertion side of the female terminal body. A lock portion formed at a male terminal insertion-side end portion of the spring contact is fixed to a male terminal insertion-side end portion of the female terminal body.

A motorcycle includes a body frame, an engine, a lead-in duct, and an air cleaner case. An air cleaner includes a convex cleaner element protruding in a direction opposite to a direction extending toward the lead-in duct, and a convex support frame that supports the inner surface of the cleaner element. The support frame includes an outer frame that supports a periphery of the cleaner element. The cleaner element includes a convex element body and a seal provided adjacent the peripheral edge of the element body to project toward the inner surface of the element body so as to work together with the periphery of the element body to hold the outer frame. The periphery of the element body has a smaller thickness than the other portions of the element body.
