Provided is an automatic analysis device capable of obtaining a stable light intensity over a wide wavelength band by multiplexing a plurality of LED lights and adjusting the temperature characteristics of each LED element. The automatic analysis device according to the present disclosure is configured such that light emitted from a second LED is reflected to be multiplexed on the same optical axis as the light emitted from a first LED, and the first LED and the second LED are in contact with the same temperature adjustment member.

A reaction vessel including a cylindrical shape centered on a first axis, in which an overall length in a first axis direction is longer than an overall length in a second axis direction and an overall length in a third axis direction, the second axis being perpendicular to the first axis and the third axis being perpendicular to the first axis and the second axis. The reaction vessel includes: an opening part which dispenses a liquid at a portion on one end side in the first axis direction; a first flat surface and a second flat surface which is substantially parallel to the first flat surface.

A wafer processing method for processing a wafer having a chamfered portion formed at a periphery thereof includes a tape attaching step of attaching a protective tape to a front surface of the wafer and making a diameter of the protective tape coincide with a diameter of the wafer; a grinding step of grinding a back surface of the wafer held by a holding table with use of grinding stones so as to thin the wafer to a thickness thinner than half of an original thickness, to reduce the diameter of the wafer, and to form a protruding portion where the protective tape protrudes from the wafer; and a contracting step of heating and contracting the protruding portion of the protective tape after the grinding step is carried out.

This invention is capable of improving performance of a biochemical analyzer and facilitating the maintenance. A light source includes: a first LED that emits ultraviolet light and a second LED that has a light emission spectrum different from that of the first LED, the first LED and the second LED being disposed in parallel; a reflection surface that is opposite to the first LED and reflects light of the first LED; and a dichroic surface that is opposite to the second LED, reflects light of the first LED, and allows light of the second LED to penetrate. When an optical member including the dichroic surface is made to be the dichroic prism, the reflection surface reflects light of the first LED to the second LED side, and by using light source of a configuration having a light shielding unit between a light emission surface of the second LED and a dichroic prism, entering of a light emitted from the plural LEDs as a one light beam (beam) to an optical system of latter stage of the biochemical analyzer is enabled.

A method of processing a plate-shaped workpiece is provided. The method includes the steps of sticking a protective member to a face side of the workpiece, holding the face side of the workpiece on a holding surface of a chuck table with the protective member interposed therebetween, grinding a reverse side of the workpiece held on the chuck table to thin the workpiece by rotating a grinding wheel including grinding stones that contain abrasive grains, while a grinding fluid is being supplied from a grinding fluid supply nozzle to the reverse side of the workpiece, and after the step of grinding the reverse side of the workpiece, treating the workpiece or the grinding stones by rotating the grinding wheel and bringing the grinding stones into contact with the reverse side of the workpiece, while stopping supplying the grinding fluid from the grinding fluid supply nozzle.

The automatic analysis apparatus is characterized in that: the surface of an inner wall of the reaction container holding part is configured to reflect at least a portion of the light emitted from the light source; and the control unit executes control so as to emit the light from the light source in a state where the reaction container is not held by the reaction container holding part, to detect the light reflected on the surface of the inner wall of the reaction container holding part by the detector, and to not use the analysis port for analysis when the result of the detection shows that the detected light is less than a first value determined in advance.
