The present technology relates to a reception device that can realize low power consumption. The reception device comprises an RF unit, a demodulating unit, and a control unit. The RF unit includes a filtering unit, an amplifying unit, and an A/D converter. The filtering unit allows an IF signal to pass within a predetermined band. The IF signal is acquired by mixing a reception signal received from a positioning satellite with a local oscillation signal generated by a local oscillation unit to perform frequency conversion of the reception signal into an intermediate frequency. The amplifying unit amplifies the IF signal with a predetermined amplification factor. The A/D converter converts the IF signal from an analog signal into a digital signal. The demodulating unit demodulates the digital signal. Based on the demodulation, the control unit controls an operation of the RF unit. The present technology is applicable to a GNSS receiver.

Reception device

A transmission and reception apparatus, system for transmitting and receiving signals, and method for transmitting and receiving signals are disclosed. In one example, a transmitting part produces an output signal including a first digitally modulated signal. A receiving part includes a mixer circuit and receives an input signal including a second digitally modulated signal. A folding signal may be present as a function of the first digitally modulated signal and a clock signal used to produce the first digitally modulated signal. The mixer circuit performs frequency down conversion on the input signal, and may also be configured to perform a harmonic wave removal function on the input signal that reduces the presence of the folding signal from the input signal. The receiving part may further include a filter circuit that receives the frequency-down-converted input signal from the mixer circuit and selects a predetermined reception signal from the frequency-down-converted input signal.

Transmission and reception apparatus and transmission and reception system

A reception device and corresponding method for maintaining a high dynamic range of an AD converter circuit and preventing excessive input to the AD converter circuit is disclosed. For example, a reception device includes a variable gain amplifier circuit that amplifies an input analog signal with a gain controlled by a predetermined control signal, an analog-to-digital converter circuit an overload detector circuit with the same frequency characteristic as the analog-to-digital converter circuit. The overload detector circuit outputs a signal according to a comparison between a level of a signal input to the analog-to-digital converter circuit and a predetermined threshold. The signal that lowers the gain of the variable gain amplifier circuit more greatly is selected out of the signal from the overload detector circuit and another signal, and the gain of the variable gain amplifier circuit is controlled on the basis of the selected signal.

Reception device and reception method

An information processing device for processing reception signals converted into digital signals, includes: a first conversion unit for executing sampling rate conversion of each of the digital signals to be computed with each tap coefficient of a K'th-order FIR filter; a filter computing unit for executing computation processing of the K'th order FIR filter on K digital signals each of which have been subjected to sampling rate conversion by the first conversion unit; and a control unit for controlling sampling rate conversion of the digital signals by the first conversion unit, and the computation processing of the K'th order FIR filter by the filter computing unit.

Information processing device and information processing method

A system and a method for communicating data at a rate exceeding about a gigabit per second is described. The system may include circuitry and a current-sourcing module. The circuitry may include an output couplable to a load. The circuitry may output from the output a low voltage differential signal having a first current that drives the load from a first voltage at a first time to a second voltage at a second time. The current-sourcing module may apply a second current to the output at a third time, which occurs at about the first time.

High-speed low-voltage differential signaling system

A receiver supporting a plurality of radio communication systems having different specifications includes a setting unit, a clock generation circuit, a voltage-current conversion amplifier, a switch, integrators, an AD conversion circuit, and a feedback circuit. The setting unit sets a value suitable for a carrier frequency used in one selected radio communication system. The clock generation circuit generates a first clock having a first frequency and a second clock having a second frequency. The conversion amplifier converts an input voltage signal into a current signal. The switch switches between connection and disconnection modes in accordance with the first clock to output the current signal. Each integrator operates in accordance with the second clock and includes two or more switched capacitor circuits and an operational amplifier. The AD conversion circuit converts a signal supplied from the preceding integrator into digital form. The feedback circuit operates in accordance with the second clock.

Receiver, receiving method, filter circuit, and control method

A wireless communication apparatus for receiving a packet formed of a signal modulated by OFDM includes the following elements. A band-pass filter extracts an OFDM signal of a desired band. A low-noise amplifier having a gain controlled according to a received-signal intensity amplifies the desired OFDM signal. A frequency converter down-converts the amplified OFDM signal into a baseband signal. An analog-digital converter converts the baseband signal into a digital signal. A first high-pass filter removes a DC offset from the baseband signal corresponding to a predetermined preamble portion of the packet. A frequency-offset estimator estimates a frequency offset from the sample signals constituting the baseband signal from which the DC offset has been removed by the first high-pass filter. A frequency-offset corrector removes the estimated frequency offset from the baseband signal. A demodulator demodulates subcarrier signals arranged in a frequency domain from the baseband signal compensated for the frequency offset.

Wireless communicaton apparatus

A receiver apparatus is disclosed. The receiver apparatus includes a plurality of signal receiving devices and a plurality of channel signal outputting devices for sampling signals received by the signal receiving devices at sampling rates switched within a predetermined range or between multiple values and outputting channel signals. The receiver apparatus also includes control devices for controlling the sampling rates in the channel signal outputting devices. The receiver apparatus also includes response estimating devices for estimating responses on the basis of the channel signals output from the channel signal outputting devices. The receiver apparatus also includes evaluating devices for evaluating reception characteristics on the basis of the responses estimated by the response estimating devices. The receiver apparatus further includes determining devices for determining the sampling rates in the channel signal outputting devices on the basis of the reception characteristics at the multiple sampling rates evaluated by the evaluating devices.

This application discloses, among other things, a receiving device including channel signal output unit for sampling a received signal at a sampling rate switched one of in a predetermined range and between a plurality of values and outputting a channel signal, control unit for controlling the sampling rate in the channel signal output unit, response estimation unit for estimating a response based on the channel signal output by the channel signal output unit, evaluation unit for evaluating a reception characteristic based on an estimation result of the response by the response estimation unit, and determination unit for determining the sampling rate in the channel signal output unit based on an evaluation of the reception characteristic at a plurality of sampling rates by the evaluation unit.
