An axial lead extending on a principal surface of a flat tab includes a main body part having a diameter and a connection part. The connection part includes a first part located adjacent to the main body part and a second part located from the first part and the end part. The first part includes a weld part welded to the flat tab and has a first thickness less than the diameter. The second part includes a non-weld part not welded to the flat tab and has a second thickness equal to or less than the first thickness. The second part is formed by pressing the end part of the axial lead, the end part having been raised when resistance welding is performed on the axial lead and the flat tab.

A laminate-type power storage element includes a flat plate-shaped electrode body and an exterior body. The electrode body is configured by stacking a sheet-shaped positive electrode and a sheet-shaped negative electrode on either side of a separator. The exterior body is formed in a flattened bag-shape by thermocompression bonding peripheral edge regions of two opposing laminated films, to seal the electrode body inside the flattened bag-shape of the exterior body together with an electrolyte. The separator has a sheet-shaped substrate and at least one bonding layer formed on at least one surface of the substrate. A peripheral edge portion of the separator is sandwiched between and bonded by the two laminated films at a peripheral inside of the peripheral edge regions of the two laminated films.

Laminate-type power storage element

A laminated rechargeable element includes a jacket and an electrode assembly. The electrode assembly is accommodated in the jacket together with an electrolyte, and includes a separator, a sheet-shaped positive electrode and a sheet-shaped negative electrode. The electrode assembly is formed by laminating the positive electrode and the negative electrode with the separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The separator includes an ion-permeable substrate and ion-permeable bonding layers formed on a top surface and a bottom surface of the substrate. The positive electrode and the negative electrode are welded to respective bonding layers of the separator. The jacket is formed of two flat, rectangular stainless steel laminate films welding together at their peripheries, and is welded to the electrode assembly.

A laminated power storage element includes: an exterior body shaped into a flat bag shape by laminating a pair of laminated films to weld a peripheral edge region; an electrode body sealed within the exterior body; a positive and a negative electrode terminal portion allowed to project outside the exterior body from a predetermined margin of the exterior body; and a pair of tab films welded on surfaces where the pair of laminated films oppose one another in a region along the predetermined margin to mutually weld the pair of laminated films, and the tab film covers an end surface of the laminated film while deviating outward from the exterior body from the predetermined margin, and covers both front and back surfaces of each of a base end of the positive electrode terminal portion and a base end of the negative electrode terminal portion.

Method of manufacturing a laminated power storage element

A laminate-type power storage element, including an exterior body that is formed in a flat bag shape, and an electrode body that has a sheet-shaped positive electrode and a sheet-shaped negative electrode layered via a separator and that is sealed inside the exterior body together with an electrolytic solution, wherein electrode terminal plates of the positive electrode and the negative electrode are guided in an identical direction from a predetermined margin of the exterior body to an outside of the exterior body, and a support part that is made with a film shaped resin having insulating and heat-resistant properties is formed on principal surface sides of the electrode terminal plates at a region that is along the predetermined margin and covers up to tip ends of the electrode terminal plates.

Laminate-type power storage element and manufacturing method thereof

A laminated lithium primary battery is provided which can prevent battery life deterioration caused by moisture penetration from outside and in which safety and increase of battery capacity both can be realized. A lithium primary battery, including: a sheet-like negative electrodemade of lithium; a sheet-like positive electrode; a sheet-like separatormade of cellulose; non-aqueous organic electrolytic solution; a jacketmade of laminate films (and), an inside of the jacket is sealed by heat-sealing periphery of the laminate film stacked in an up-and-down direction; and an electrode assemblyin which the positive electrodeand the negative electrodeare stacked in the up-and-down direction having the separatortherebetween, the sealed jacketaccommodating the electrode assembly with the non-aqueous organic electrolytic solution.
