A toner having high rub resistance is provided. A toner including a toner particle containing a binder resin and a calcium carbonate particle, wherein in X-ray diffractometry of the toner particle by CuKα radiation, when the Bragg angle is defined as θ, (i) the calcium carbonate particle has peaks at 2θ of 26.5°±0.5° and 29.5°±0.5°, (ii) a crystallite diameter of crystals thereof attributed to 2θ=29.5°±0.5° is 10 nm or more and 45 nm or less, and (iii) the ratio (a/b) of a peak intensity 'a' at 2θ=26.5°±0.5° to a peak intensity “b” at 2θ=29.5°±0.5° is 0.15 or more and 0.24 or less.

To provide a toner having both low temperature fixability and hot offset resistance and having excellent scratch resistance of a fixed image. A toner including a toner particle containing a binder resin, a crystalline polyester, and a calcium carbonate particle, in which the crystalline polyester includes a unit derived from an aliphatic diol and a unit derived from an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid, an ester group concentration Ec of the crystalline polyester is 27% by mass or more to 50% by mass or less, a content Ma of the calcium carbonate particle included in the toner particle is 3% by mass or more to 40% by mass or less, and a ratio (Ma/Mc) of the content Ma of the calcium carbonate particle included in the toner particle to a content Mc (% by mass) of the crystalline polyester included in the toner particle is 0.2 or more to 20 or less.

A liquid developer comprising: a toner particle containing binder resin; a carrier liquid; and a basic toner particle dispersing agent, wherein the basic toner particle dispersing agent is a primary amine, an acid value of the binder resin is at least 10 mg KOH/g, an acid value of a component having a molecular weight of not more than 2,000 contained in the binder resin is not more than 5 mg KOH/g, and a hydroxyl value of the component having a molecular weight of not more than 2,000 contained in the binder resin is not more than 10 mg KOH/g.

A white toner including toner particles each of which contains a binder resin and a white pigment whose content is 20 to 80 mass % or less, wherein the binder resin contains a polymer A having a first and a second monomer unit, wherein the content of the first monomer unit is 5.0 to 60.0 mol % with respect to the total number of moles of all monomer units in the polymer A, wherein the content of the second monomer unit is 20.0 to 95.0 mol % with respect to the total number of moles of all the monomer units in the polymer A, wherein the SP value of the first monomer unit and the SP value of the second monomer unit satisfy specific relations, and wherein the white pigment has a total amount of a surface acidic group amount and a surface basic group amount of 60 &#x3bc;mol/g or more.

An object of the present invention is to provide a toner that exhibits high levels of the low-temperature fixability, storability, and charging performance all at the same time. Toner and method of producing toner

A toner includes a toner particle containing a resin component. The resin component contains an ester group-containing olefin copolymer and an acid group-containing olefin copolymer. For example, the ester group-containing olefin copolymer is an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and the acid group-containing olefin copolymer is an ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer. The acid group-containing olefin copolymer has an acid value of 50 to 300 mg KOH/g. Provided is a toner that achieves low-temperature fixability, storability and charging performance all at a high level, in which a toner containing a crystalline resin and an amorphous resin, wherein a standard deviation of hydrogen nuclear relaxation times (HT1&#x3c1;-C) of the toner as measured by solid-stateC-NMR is from 0.0 to 5.0, and a hydrogen nuclear relaxation time (HT1&#x3c1;-C1) of aC peak with the longest relaxation time out of the hydrogen nuclear relaxation times (HT1&#x3c1;-C) and a hydrogen nuclear relaxation time (HT1&#x3c1;-A1) of aC peak with the shortest relaxation time out of the hydrogen nuclear relaxation times (HT1&#x3c1;-A) satisfy 3.0&#x2266;{(HT1&#x3c1;-C1)/(HT1&#x3c1;-A1)}&#x2266;6.0.
