An earthquake disaster prevention system having: an estimation section to estimate a size of an earthquake from a P-wave of the earthquake detected by the earthquake detector; a stopping control section to control to stop the motion of the operation device when the size of the earthquake estimated by the estimation section exceeds a stopping reference value; a calculation section to calculate at any time the size of the earthquake from the S-wave of the earthquake detected by the earthquake detector; a convergence judgment section to judge convergence of the earthquake by judging whether a predetermined earthquake convergence condition is satisfied from the size of the earthquake calculated by the calculation section; and a resumption control section to resume a predetermined motion of the operation device stopped by the stopping control section when the earthquake is judged to have converged by the convergence judgment section.

Maintenance-and-control apparatus and method for coordinate and surface texture measuring device

In coordinate and surface texture measurement in which measurement control is performed by a part program, a part program is analyzed to extract measurement information or measurement condition. The measurement condition is rewritably stored such that optimal measurement conditions of an actual measurement can be reflected in a part program, and such that the actual measurement conditions can be added to subsequent measurement control.

Apparatus and method concerning analysis and generation of part program for measuring coordinates and surface properties

A gage inspecting apparatus includes a jog dial A for controlling an amount of displacement of a measuring spindle at a time when the position of the measuring spindle is finely adjusted, and a shuttle ring B for controlling the driving direction and driving speed of the measuring spindle at a time when the position of the measuring spindle is roughly adjusted. The relationship between the amount of rotation of the jog dial A and the amount of displacement of the measuring spindle can be set in correspondence with a scale interval of the gage.

Height gauge

A focus detection unit including an optical system employing an image sandwiching method is disclosed. In the focus detection unit, a double slit mask (12) forming double sight lines is disposed on the optical axis of a lamp 10 while a single slit mask (16) forming an single sight line is disposed on the optical axis of a lamp (14). A triangular pole prism 18 is provided, consisting of first and second side surfaces, which together constitutes an edge, and a plane opposing the edge. The prism (18) is disposed such that the double and single sight line are able to irradiate the first and second side surfaces. The prism reflects the incoming lines toward a plane before the right-angle edge. Before the edge of the prism (18), a projection lens (20) is provided for forming images of the double and single sight lines which have been reflected by the prism (18) and separated by a mask (22), at a both aiming line imaging position 100. The images are projected onto a workpiece.
