The present invention discloses a device useful for facilitating delivery of drugs or medicaments to the respiratory system of a user. The device comprising a mechanism for interrupting the airflow during inhalation or exhalation performed by the user through the device by generating pressure pulses within the respiratory system of the user, such that the delivery of the drugs to the user is facilitated; the pressure pulses are selected from the group consisting of: inspiratory Negative Pressure (NP) pulses, inspiratory Positive Pressure (PP) pulses, expiratory Negative Pressure (NP) pulses, expiratory Positive Pressure (PP) pulses into the respiratory system, and any combination thereof.

Drug delivery device

A pulsating inhaler comprising: (a) a fluid oscillator providing focused fluid columns with a series of alternating high and low pressure zones and (b) at least one outlet orifice adapted for delivering said focused fluid column to the respiratory tract of said patient. The fluid oscillator further comprises a piston which is actuated by a motor with an eccentric mechanism. According to alternative embodiment of the invention, the fluid oscillator comprises a rotating disc having a missing section.

Pulsating inhaler and a method of treating upper respiratory disorders

The present invention discloses a device for administering intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) and Protocols of Artificially Induced Oscillations (PAIO) useful in alleviating peripheral circulatory disorders of a treated organ, comprising a wearable body portion enclosure (BPE) adapted to contact said treated organ, said BPE comprising: one or more balloons adapted to be inflated and deflated for creating said IPC; one or more pressure sources in fluid communication with said balloons by way of one or more valves; one or more vibrating elements adapted to produce PAIO; a controlling unit adapted to operate said pressure sources, and to operate said vibrating elements. The IPC and PAIO may be individually administered to said treated organ according to predetermined protocols.
