In prior to receiving a subsequent processing request that follows the first processing request, the image processing apparatus generates converted image data from the scanned image data, which has a data format other than the data format of the converted image data generated for the first process, and stores the converted image data in a storage device. After the first process is executed, the image processing apparatus obtains the converted image data having a data format that is suitable for a subsequent process requested by a subsequent processing request, from the storage device, to perform the subsequent process.
