A vehicle trajectory calculation method is provided. In the vehicle trajectory calculation method, a travel trajectory of a vehicle in a travel route is calculated based on a GPS signal received at predetermined time intervals with a GPS receiver of the vehicle during traveling. When there is an unmeasurable section where the travel trajectory cannot be normally calculated based on the GPS signal, the travel trajectory in the unmeasurable section is calculating by performing an interpolation based on the calculated travel trajectories in sections anterior to and posterior to the unmeasurable section.

Vehicle trajectory calculation method

In this vehicle orientation detection method detecting the orientation of a vehicle on the basis of measurement data obtained at prescribed time intervals, as long as a speed sensed by a vehicle speed sensor is less than a threshold speed, the vehicle orientation is detected on the basis of a yaw rate sensed by a yaw rate sensor. If the speed detected by the vehicle speed sensor is greater than or equal to the threshold speed, a drift determination is performed. If not determined to be in a drift state, the vehicle orientation is detected on the basis of signals received by a GPS receiver, and if determined to be in a drift state, the vehicle orientation is detected on the basis of the yaw rate sensed by the yaw rate sensor.

Vehicle orientation detection method and vehicle orientation detection apparatus

In a case where a wireless communication device corresponds to a first-region wireless communication system, a first reception block and a second reception block receives a radio signal of the first-region wireless communication system in a diversity scheme and a transmission block transmits a radio signal of the first-region wireless communication system. In a case where the wireless communication device corresponds to a first second-region wireless communication system and a second second-region wireless communication system, the second reception block receives a radio signal of the first second-region wireless communication system, the first reception block receives a radio signal of the second second-region wireless communication system, and the transmission block transmits a radio signal of the first second-region wireless communication system and a radio signal of the second second-region wireless communication system with time division switching.

Wireless communication device

A GPS receiver is used to receive a signal from GPS satellites, and a current vehicle position is detected based on the received signal. A control unit estimates the current vehicle position based on a travel speed of a vehicle from a vehicle speed sensor and a travel direction of the vehicle from a direction sensor. After correcting the estimated current vehicle position based on the current vehicle position from the GPS receiver, a power supply to the GPS receiver is turned off, and thereafter an error of the estimated current vehicle position is calculated based on an error accumulated for a certain time period regarding the speed and the direction. When the error of the estimated current vehicle position exceeds an error tolerance, the power supply for the GPS receiver is restarted to correct the estimated current vehicle position.

Mobile object positioning device and navigation apparatus

A positioning apparatus includes: a first positioning device for calculating a reception position of a GPS receiver with respect to each combination of satellites based on a pseudo distance from each positioning satellite to the reception position; a component error calculator for calculating an error of at least one component in a calculation result of the first positioning device; a pseudo distance error calculator for obtaining a relation equation between the error of the at least one component and an error of the pseudo distance, and for solving simultaneous equations comprising the relation equation so that the error of the pseudo distance with respect to each positioning satellite is calculated; and a second positioning device for correcting the reception position based on the error of the pseudo distance.

Positioning apparatus for calculating and correcting reception position and speed and method for the same

A mixer mixes respective signals of L1, L2C, and L5-E5a with a local oscillation signal where the frequency of the L1 signal has an image relationship with the frequencies of the L2C and L5-E5a signals to conduct frequency conversion. An image removal mixer mixes the respective position signals of 1stIF with a local oscillation signal where the frequency of the L1 signal of the 1stIF has an image relationship with the frequencies of the L2C signal and the L5-E5a signal of 1stIF to conduct frequency conversion. The image removal mixer then outputs the L1 signal of 2ndIF and the L2C and L5-E5a signals of 2ndIF, independently. A branching filter separates the L2C and L5-E5a signals of 2ndIF from each other, and outputs the separated signals.
