The composition is for removing a sulfur-containing compound in a hydrocarbon, wherein the sulfur-containing compound is hydrogen sulfide, an &#x2014;SH group-containing compound or a mixture thereof, and the composition contains a dialdehyde having 6 to 16 carbon atoms and a polyalkylene glycol.
