[Object] To make it possible to improve an acoustic characteristic. [Solution] There is provided a headphone including a driver unit that includes a diaphragm, a housing that accommodates the driver unit, and forms a sealed-type front-face air chamber spatially blocked from an outside except for an opening for sound output on a front face side provided with the diaphragm of the driver unit, and an acoustic tube whose end is directly connected to a first ventilation hole provided in a frame of the driver unit, and that spatially connects a driver-unit rear-face air chamber formed between the frame and the diaphragm with the outside of the driver unit via a tube.

Headphone and acoustic characteristic adjusting method

There is provided a headphone including a headband having flexibility; a slider having flexibility with the headband attached at one end, and a headphone unit attached at the other end; a slide groove, arranged at an end of the headband or the one end of the slider, for guiding a circling movement of the slider with respect to the headband; and a slider guide, having rigidity higher than the headband and the slider, for holding the one end of the slider at the end of the headband so that one surface of the slider facing one surface of the headband circling moves with respect to the one surface of the headband while being engaged to the slide groove. A headphone that can be thinned while suppressing lowering of the attachment property is provided.

A headphone includes a housing having a storage space in the interior thereof and a driver unit provided within the storage space movably with respect to the housing.

Provided is a driver unit including an acoustic conversion unit; and a housing body in which the acoustic conversion unit is housed, and in which an opening is formed. The acoustic conversion unit includes a pair of magnets arranged to face each other, a coil to which an input signal is supplied, an armature at which a vibrating part passing through the coil and arranged between the pair of magnets is formed, and a vibrating plate connected to the armature. A size of the opening is larger than 40 &#x3bc;m and smaller than 100 &#x3bc;m.

Driver unit and earphone device

A headphone including a housing that includes a speaker unit, and a protruding portion, provided at a specified area of one surface of the housing, that outputs playback sound generated from the speaker unit. When being worn on the head, the one surface of the housing comes in to contact with an outward facing surface of an auricle surrounding a cavity of a concha, and the protruding portion is inserted in to the cavity of the concha.

A headphone includes a headband and a left housing and a right housing. The left housing and the right housing are mounted to respective ends of the headband through respective hangers. Each housing accommodates a drive unit. Sliders including hollow cylindrical members are mounted to the respective hangers, and are slidably supported at slidably supporting portions at the respective ends of the headband. A cord, disposed between the left and right housings and used to pass drive electric current to the drive unit in one of the housings, is spirally accommodated in the hollow cylindrical members making up the respective sliders so that the cord is capable of being stretched and compressed.

A headphone including a housing that includes a speaker unit and that has a generally flat surface that comes into contact with an outward facing surface of an auricle of an ear and a neckband that is connected to the housing. The neckband has a ring form with a partially cut-out section and the inner side of at least one end of the neckband is connected to the housing. The neckband and the generally flat surface of the housing are generally coplanar, and have an elastic force in a direction that causes the neckband and the generally flat surface of the housing to return to the coplanar arrangement.
