A seal member includes silicone rubber mixed with a polyrotaxane. The seal member includes the polyrotaxane in an amount of 3 to 10 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the silicone rubber. This configuration can allow molecules in the silicone rubber to slide on one another, so that the rubber material is easily deformed according to stress applied, such as insertion and removal of terminal metal pieces. Accordingly, scratch damage of the seal member can be reduced.

Seal member

An object of the present invention is to provide a thermoplastic elastomer resin composition and a connector, which can be processed by mold forming and are excellent in the recycling property. The present invention provides a thermoplastic elastomer resin composition including 100 parts by weight of a base resin containing from 60 to 80 wt % of an acid-modified styrene-based elastomer and from 40 to 20 wt % of a syndiotactic polystyrene, and from 0 to 20 parts by weight of a hydrogenated dicyclopentadiene; and a connector using the composition.

Thermoplastic elastomer resin composition and connector

To provide a sealing part for a waterproof connector, which can maintain good waterproof property and can also decrease the fitting force between the female connector housing and the male connector housing, using a thermoplastic resin having recyclability and excellent in productivity and workability. A flexible resin composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a polyester-based or polyolefinic elastomer having a Shore A hardness of 30 to less than 80 and 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of ethylenebisstearic acid amide or ethylenebisoleic acid amide; and a sealing part to be attached to a housing for waterproofing a connector, which is obtained by forming the above-mentioned flexible resin composition.

Flexible resin composition and sealing part for waterproof connector

An object of the present invention is to provide a thermoplastic elastomer resin composition and a connector, which can be processed by mold forming and are excellent in the recycling property. The present invention provides a thermoplastic elastomer resin composition including 100 parts by weight of a base resin containing from 60 to 80 wt % of an acid-modified styrene-based elastomer and from 40 to 20 wt % of a modified polyphenylene ether, and from 0 to 20 parts by weight of a hydrogenated dicyclopentadiene; and a connector using the composition.

The present invention provides a connector having a seal member for sealing around an electrical wire. The connector includes a connector housing, the seal member, and a rear holder. The connector housing has a layer-by-layer arrangement of plate-shaped housings which each have terminal receiving channels to receive terminals. The seal member has a seal main body surrounding the electrical wire and a tube portion projecting from the seal main body in the lengthwise direction of the electrical wire. The rear holder includes a plurality of holders to pinch the tube portion of the seal member. Each holder has a groove to pinch the tube portion of the seal member and the groove compresses an inner diameter of the tube portion when the holders pinch the tube portions therebetween.

Waterproof electrical connector

The present invention is intended to provide a novel waterproof connector in which liquid such as water is securely prevented from adhering to the connection between a terminal fitting and an electrical conduit, and a novel method for producing the waterproof connector. The novel waterproof connectorcomprises an electrical conduit (), a terminal fitting (), and a sealing member (). The terminal fitting () has an electrical conduit-connecting portion () connected to an end portion () of the electrical conduit (). The connector housing () is integrally molded with both of the electrical conduit () and the terminal fitting (). In this configuration, at least the electrical conduit-connecting portion () is embedded in the connector housing (). The sealing member () comprises a synthetic polymer component having adhesion properties and elasticity. The sealing member () is at least partly wrapped around both the end portion () of the electrical conduit () and the terminal fitting () so as to be in close contact with both the corresponding end portion () of the electrical conduit (), and the corresponding terminal fitting (). In this configuration, wherein all of the corresponding end portion () of the electrical conduit (), the corresponding terminal fitting (), and the sealing member () are embedded in the connector housing ().
