A constant preload device of a ball bearing is provided. The preload device includes an elastic member having a hollow shape with openings at both sides in an elastic direction, and two holders inserted into the openings at the both sides of the elastic member, respectively. Each holder includes a flange part configured to contact an end portion of the opening, into which the holder is inserted, to regulate an extension of the elastic member in the elastic direction, and a claw part configured to engage with the other holder to regulate separation from the other holder. The holders are engaged to each other by the claw parts such that the elastic member is exposed from the holders. When the preload device applies preload to the ball bearing, the ball bearing contacts the preload device only at an outer ring of the ball bearing.

A fan apparatus is provided and includes: a housing having a hollow cylindrical shape; a circuit board holding structure which is disposed in the housing so as to be located at the radially central part of the housing and which includes a plurality of slits extending axially; a circuit board disposed inside the circuit board holding structure in parallel with the axial direction; a plurality of fixed blades disposed so as to bridge between the housing and the circuit board holding structure; and a motor which includes a rotary shaft and an impeller and which is disposed at the front end of the circuit board holding structure, wherein the impeller is connected to the rotary shaft so as to move air.

A brushless DC motor provided with nine slots and eight poles includes a stator including a stator core having pole teeth on the outer circumference thereof and a coil wound around each pole tooth; a rotor disposed at an outside position of the outer circumference of the stator via a gap and having a multiply magnetized permanent magnet with plural magnetic poles; a pole tooth surface formed at a portion of the pole tooth and facing an inner circumference of the rotor; a recessed portion formed on the pole tooth surface; and a slot formed between the adjacent pole teeth and extending a first angular range around a rotational center of the rotor; in which the recessed portion extends in a second angular range around the rotational center of the rotor, the second angular range is 1.2 to 3.0 times the first angular range, the recessed portion has a radial depth which is 0.5% or more of an inner diameter of the permanent magnet, the pole tooth extends in a third angular range around a rotational center of the rotor, and the third angular range is 0.58 to 0.8 times a value which is obtained by dividing 360 degrees by the number of magnetic poles of the permanent magnet.

A spindle motor includes: a stator yoke having a circular cylinder shape; a rotor magnet disposed opposite to the stator yoke with an air gap therebetween; a sheet-like coil disposed at a surface of the stator yoke opposing the rotor magnet; and a bearing structure, wherein the sheet-like coil includes a plurality of individual coils having a spiral-shape and arrayed in a circumferential direction, and a pattern made of a same material as the individual coils and disposed between two adjacent individual coils.

A bobbin includes a spool portion having a hollow circular cylinder shape and adapted to have a wire wound thereon in multilayer alignment; a flange integrally disposed at one end of the spool portion; and a terminal block integrally disposed at the flange and adapted to terminate the wire, wherein a formula: D&#xd7;N&#x2212;D/2&#x2266;L&#x3c;D&#xd7;N+D/2 is established where L is the effective length of the spool portion, D is the diameter of the wire, and N is the number of turns of the wire for the first layer of the multilayer alignment.
