A workpiece image analyzing device is provided with: a display unit for displaying an image of a workpiece to be processed by an industrial machine; an analysis object designating unit for accepting designation of an analysis object with respect to the image of the workpiece; a feature extracting unit for extracting, in a real-world coordinate system, structural features of the analysis object designated by the analysis object designating unit; an analysis item setting unit for accepting designation of an analysis item with respect to the image of the workpiece; and a physical quantity calculating unit which extracts, from the structural features of the analysis object, a feature required for calculating a physical quantity pertaining to the analysis item designated by the analysis item setting unit, and calculates the physical quantity using the extracted feature.

To provide a camera calibration device and a camera calibration method which can easily calibrate a relationship between a machine coordinate system of a machine tool and a camera coordinate system of a camera. A camera calibration device calibrates an imaging means of a machine tool, the machine tool includes: a touch probe which acquires one point whose machine coordinates are known; a camera which images the one point and a pattern including a feature used for calibration; and a drive mechanism which moves a table or a spindle in two orthogonal directions and an image obtained by imaging the one point and the pattern and images obtained by imaging the pattern or/and the one point when the table or a machining machine is moved in the two directions are used to calculate an external parameter by calculating a positional posture relationship between the machine coordinate system and the pattern.

A workpiece image generation device is provided with a machining information acquisition unit, an area division unit configured to virtually divide a surface area of the workpiece into partial areas based on the surface shape information, an image acquisition unit configured to acquire a plurality of images of the workpiece captured with different angles of irradiation on the workpiece as viewed from the imaging device, an area image selection unit configured to extract partial images individually from the plurality of images of the workpiece, based on the partial areas of the surface area of the workpiece, and select partial images corresponding to the individual partial areas from the plurality of extracted partial images, an image synthesis unit configured to generate a composite image of the workpiece obtained by synthesizing the partial images, and a composite image output unit configured to output the composite image of the workpiece.
