A coil component includes a core including a winding core portion, a first flange portion, and a second flange portion, and a first wire and a second wire that are wound around the winding core portion in the same direction and that form a winding portion. The winding portion includes a second intersecting portion along a third side surface of the winding core portion at a position on the winding portion nearest to the second flange portion.

A coil component includes a core including a winding core portion, a first flange portion, and a second flange portion, and a plate member that is mounted on the first flange portion and the second flange portion. A distance in a height direction between the plate member and the first flange portion, or a distance in the height direction between the plate member and the second flange portion, or both vary in a length direction, or in a width direction, or both.

Ferrite sintered body and wire-wound coil component

A coil component includes a core including a winding core portion and a first flange portion that is disposed on a first end portion of the winding core portion in a direction in which the winding core portion extends. A first curved portion is formed at a connection between a bottom surface of the winding core portion and the first flange portion. A ratio of a length of the first curved portion in a height direction to a distance in the height direction between the bottom surface and a first terminal electrode is no less than 20% and no more than 60% (i.e., from 20% to 60%).

A ferrite sintered body contains from 48.2% by mole to 49.7% by mole Fe in terms of FeO, from 2.0% by mole to 8.0% by mole Cu in terms of CuO, from 12.0% by mole to 19.0% by mole Ni in terms of NiO, and from 28.5% by mole to 33.0% by mole Zn in terms of ZnO, in which when Fe, Cu, Ni, and Zn are converted to FeO, CuO, NiO, and ZnO, respectively, and when the total amount of the FeO, the CuO, the NiO, and the ZnO is 100 parts by weight, the ferrite sintered body contains from 5 ppm to 25 ppm B in terms of elemental B and 6 ppm to 25 ppm Nb in terms of elemental Nb.

A ferrite sintered body contains from 48.2% by mole to 49.7% by mole Fe in terms of FeO, from 2.0% by mole to 8.0% by mole Cu in terms of CuO, from 17.7% by mole to 24.0% by mole Ni in terms of NiO, and from 21.0% by mole to 28.0% by mole Zn in terms of ZnO, in which, when Fe, Cu, Ni, and Zn are converted to FeO, CuO, NiO, and ZnO, respectively, and when the total amount of the FeO, the CuO, the NiO, and the ZnO is 100 parts by weight, the ferrite sintered body contains from 5 ppm to 25 ppm B in terms of elemental B and from 6 ppm to 25 ppm Nb in terms of elemental Nb.

A coil component includes a core including a winding core portion, a first flange portion, and a second flange portion, a first wire and a second wire that are wound around the winding core portion in the same direction and that form a winding portion, a first terminal electrode and a second terminal electrode that are disposed on the first flange portion, and a third terminal electrode and a fourth terminal electrode that are disposed on the second flange portion. A length of the winding portion along a bottom surface of the winding core portion is shorter than a length of the winding portion along an upper surface of the winding core portion.

A magnetic material which is likely to be cracked or chipped. The magnetic material is a magnetic material including ferrite particles and segregated particles containing Bi and Si, and characteristically, the magnetic material contains, as a main constituent, 46.0 mol % to 50.0 mol % FeO, 0.4 mol % to 8.0 mol % CuO, 23.0 mol % to 32.0 mol % ZnO, and 18.0 mol % to 22.0 mol % NiO, and the ratio of the average particle size of the segregated particles to the average particle size of the ferrite particles is 0.04 or more and 0.19 or less (i.e., 0.04 to 0.19).
