A method of manufacturing a liquid-discharge-head substrate is provided, which includes a plurality of elements for discharging liquid, and a heating member for heating the liquid-discharge-head substrate, the method including the steps of preparing a substrate having an insulating layer made of an insulating material provided on or above the substrate, providing a conductive layer made of a conductive material, and forming a conductive line being configured to supply current for driving the element and a part of a heating member by using the conductive layer.

Liquid-discharge-head substrate, method of manufacturing the same, and liquid discharge head

A print head is provided that well preserves ink characteristics upon printing by way of performing effective ink preliminary heating. The print head has heaters and ejection openings formed at locations corresponding to the heaters. Viewed from the side from which ink is ejected, a sub-heater is established in the print head between the ink supply port and the print elements so as to surround the ink supply port.

Liquid ejection head

A liquid-discharging recording head includes first and second substrates each having an energy generating element and a supply port, and a support member on which the substrates are arranged. The first substrate is provided on one side in a longitudinal direction of the support member, and the second substrate is provided on an other side in the longitudinal direction of the support member. A driving circuit configured to drive the energy generating element is provided in a larger region between an end of a supply port in the first substrate on the other side in the longitudinal direction and an end of the first substrate on the other side and in a larger region between an end of a supply port in the second substrate on the one side in the longitudinal direction and an end of the second substrate on the one side.

A liquid discharge head includes a substrate and a flow path wall member provided on the substrate and having a wall defining a flow path connected to a discharge port for discharging liquid. The flow path wall member is provided with a cavity not connected to the flow path, when viewed in a direction from the discharge port toward the substrate, the cavity has a shape of a character, and the character corresponds to information regarding the liquid discharge head.

An inkjet printhead substrate includes: a heat generating element configured to generate energy for ejecting ink; an electric wire electrically connecting the heat generating element and an electrode lead provided on a flexible film wiring substrate; a protecting film configured to protect the electric wire; an electrode pad to which the electrode lead is connected, the electrode pad being formed by providing an opening in the protecting film at a position above the electric wire; a region to which a sealing resin configured to protect an electrically connected portion of the electrode pad and the electrode lead is to be applied; and an ink-detecting electrode composed of a metal wire and formed at the region to which the sealing resin is to be applied. The metal wire has a smaller width than an opening provided in the protecting film from which the metal wire is exposed.

An inkjet recording head includes a connection-state output circuit provided on the recording element substrate of a recording head, where the connection-state output circuit externally transmits data of the connection state of each of input signal ends. An output from the connection-state output circuit is activated when the same logic as that used when signals are pulled up and/or pulled down is used.

A liquid ejection head substrate includes a primary conductive layer; an insulating layer; a pair of secondary conductive layers; a first connecting portion where the primary conductive layer is electrically connected to the secondary conductive layers, the first connecting portion penetrating the insulating layer; and a second connecting portion whose contact area is smaller than that of the first connecting portion. In the secondary conductive layers, a voltage is applied such that a first secondary conductive layer has a higher potential than a second secondary conductive layer.

A printing head substrate has a plurality of heating elements, a plurality of ink supply openings, a logic circuit for driving the heating elements; a substrate temperature detecting element for detecting a temperature of the printing head substrate, and input and output pads for carrying out reception and supply of a signal between a printing apparatus, and the logic circuit and the substrate temperature detecting element, wherein a beam integral with the substrate is provided between the plurality of ink supply openings, and the substrate temperature detecting element is arranged on the beam.
