A sheet processing apparatus includes: a first pair of conveying members that convey a sheet; a second pair of conveying members that receive the sheet conveyed by the first pair of the conveying members and further conveys the sheet to a subsequent stage; and a third pair of conveying members that fold the sheet by rotating the second pair of the conveying members in a reverse direction while the sheet is held by the first pair of the conveying members and the second pair of the conveying members. One of the conveying members of the second pair serves as one of the conveying members of the third pair.

A sheet processing apparatus includes: a folding processing unit that folds a sheet by reversely rotating a second conveying member in a condition in which the sheet is held by a first and the second conveying members; a calculating unit that calculates an amount of deflection of the sheet held by the first and second conveying members from timings at which the sheet is detected by first and second detecting units disposed upstream of the first conveying member and downstream of the second conveying member and a distance between disposed positions of the first and second detecting units; and a control unit that sets, from the calculated amount of deflection of the sheet, an amount of conveyance for the first conveying member in a direction opposite to a sheet conveying direction in a condition in which the sheet is held by the first and second conveying members.

Sheet processing apparatus and image forming system

In a positioning device, expandable bodies which expand and contract by air pressure are disposed at opposite sides of a movable member in its moving direction, the movable member being able to reciprocate, and a valve device for holding the expandable bodies in their extended states by valve-closing action is provided in an air path device which supplies air from an air supplying device to the expandable bodies. In a massager including this positioning device, the movable member is movably guided in up and down directions by a guide member provided in a back rest of a chair body, and the movable member is provided with a massage element which is projected from a surface of the back rest and is abutted against a body of a person sitting on the chair body. The movable member is moved by supply and discharge of air to and from the air supplying device through the air path device to the expandable bodies provided at the opposite sides of the movable member in its moving direction, and the movement position of the movable member is adjusted by the valve devices of the air path device.
