An imaging apparatus includes a lens on which light from one subject is incident, a spectral prism including a first surface reflecting, at a first reflectance, first light having a first wavelength, and a second surface reflecting, at a second reflectance, having a second wavelength, a first imaging unit capturing a first image of the subject at a first depth of field based on the first light reflected by the first surface, a second imaging unit capturing a second image of the subject at a second depth of field based on the second light reflected by the second surface, a third imaging unit capturing a third image of the subject at a third depth of field based on third light transmitted through the first surface or the second surface, and a signal processing unit synthesizing the first image, the second image, and the third image, and outputting the synthesized image.

Imaging apparatus

A three-plate camera includes an IR prism that causes an IR image sensor to receive incident IR light of light from an observation part, a visible prism that causes a visible image sensor to receive incident visible light of light from the observation part, a specific prism that causes a specific image sensor to receive incident light of a specific wavelength band of light from the observation part, and a video signal processing unit that generates an IR video signal, a visible video signal, and a specific video signal of the observation part based on respective imaging outputs of the IR image sensor, the visible image sensor, and the specific image sensor, combines the IR video signal, the visible video signal, and the specific video signal, and outputs a combined video signal to a monitor.

Three-plate camera and four-plate camera

A 3 MOS camera includes a first prism that has a first reflection film which reflects IR light that causes a first image sensor to receive the IR light, a second prism that has a second reflection film which reflects A % (A: a predetermined real number) visible light and that causes a second image sensor to receive the A % visible light, a third prism that causes a third image sensor to receive a (100&#x2212;A)% visible light, and a video signal processor that combines a first video signal, a second video signal, and a third video signal of an observation part. The video signal processor performs pixel shifting on one of the second video signal and the third video signal having substantially same brightness to generate a fourth video signal and outputs a video signal obtained by combining the fourth video signal and the first video signal.

3 MOS camera

A 3 MOS camera includes a first prism that causes a first image sensor to receive IR light of light from an observation part, a second prism that causes a second image sensor to receive visible light of A % (A: a predetermined real number) of the light from the observation part, a third prism that causes a third image sensor to receive remaining visible light of (100&#x2212;A) % of the light from the observation part, and a video signal processor that combines a color video signal based on imaging outputs of the second image sensor and the third image sensor and an IR video signal based on an imaging output of the first image sensor and outputs the combined signal to a monitor, the second image sensor and the third image sensor being respectively bonded to positions optically shifted by substantially one pixel.

An endoscope includes: an aperture portion having an opening to which light from an observation target site is incident; a filter unit that has a plurality of filters and selectively transmits light based on any one of the filters; a color separation prism that is formed by a plurality of separation prisms which separate light, which has transmitted through the filter unit, into beams of light having different color components from each other; a plurality of image sensors that are provided so as to respectively correspond to the separation prisms and capture an image based on the beams of light; a signal output unit that outputs image signals captured by the image sensors respectively; and a filter disposing unit that disposes any one of the plurality of filters so that the light is incident to the disposed one of the plurality of filters.

Endoscope and endoscope system

Disclosed is an endoscope including: a four-color separation prism configured to separate light from an object into three primary colors of light and infrared light; four image sensors configured to convert optical images of the separated three primary colors of light and an optical image of the separated infrared light into electrical signals; and an output device configured to output the converted electrical signals.

A medical camera includes a camera head having a first a first color separation prism, a second color separation prism, a third color separation prism, and a fourth color separation prism. The four color separation prisms respectively separate light incident from an affected area into a blue, red and green color components, and an infrared (IR) component. A light emission surface of the first color separation prism is disposed opposite to a light emission surface of the second color separation prism. A light emission surface of the third color separation prism is disposed across an incident ray which is incident vertically to an object side incident surface of the first color separation prism.

An endoscope includes a four color separation prism having a first color separation prism, a second color separation prism, a third color separation prism, and a fourth color separation prism which respectively separate light incident from an affected area into a blue, red and green color components, and an IR component, first, second, third and fourth color image sensors, and a signal output. The first color separation prism, the second color separation prism, the third color separation prism, and the fourth color separation prism are sequentially disposed from an object side when receiving the light incident from the affected area. The first color image sensor is disposed opposite to the second color image sensor and the third color image sensor across an incident ray which is incident vertically to an object side incident surface of the first color separation prism.

Provided is an endoscopic camera capable of expanding its visual field up to an oblique back side. An endoscopic camera includes: a rigid case having a cylindrical shape with a top end portion being obliquely cut off; a camera head provided at the top end portion of the rigid case; a semispherical cover mounted on the top end portion of the rigid case to cover at least a part of the camera head; and a tilt motor adapted to rotate the camera head around a tilt shaft.
