A motor control device controls a motor including winding groups of two systems. The motor control device includes a board and sensors provided on the board and configured to generate electric signals based on rotation of the motor. The board includes a first area and a second area defined across a boundary line. The first area and the second area include power circuit areas, control circuit areas, signal paths through which the electric signals are transmitted to the control circuit areas, and power paths through which electric power supplied from a power supply is transmitted to the power circuit areas, respectively. The signal paths are provided not to cross the power paths and the power circuit areas when viewed in an axial direction of the motor, respectively.

Motor control device

A motor control device includes a board that is provided at an end of a motor including winding groups of two systems and controls supply of electric power to the winding group independently for each system. The board includes two areas that are partitioned by a boundary line passing through the center of the motor when viewed in an axial direction of the motor. A power supply terminal connector, an inverter circuit, and a motor terminal connector are sequentially arranged along the boundary line when viewed in the axial direction of the motor. The motor terminal connector is provided such that a straight line perpendicular to a direction in which motor terminals are arranged and the boundary line form an acute angle.

Motor control device with layout to decrease difference in current paths

A control device includes a first substrate provided with a chip electronic component; a second substrate having a surface provided with electronic components including a tall component taller than the chip electronic component, the surface of the second substrate facing a surface of the first substrate that is provided with the chip electronic component; and a heat sink disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The heat sink includes a component receiving portion and a heat dissipation portion, the component receiving portion being configured to receive the tall component, the heat dissipation portion being configured to perform heat exchange between the first substrate and the second substrate, and the component receiving portion and the heat dissipation portion being provided so as not to overlap with each other as viewed in a facing direction in which the first substrate and the second substrate face each other.

Control device and motor device that ensure heat dissipation while reducing the size of the motor device

A motor device includes a motor, a first substrate, a second substrate, a first heat sink, and a second heat sink. The second substrate is placed to face the first substrate in the plate-thickness direction of the second substrate. A second element group provided on the second substrate has a heat generation amount larger than that of a first element group provided on the first substrate. The first heat sink is placed between the first substrate and the second substrate so as to promote heat dissipation from the first element group and the second element group. The second heat sink is placed on the opposite side of the second substrate from the first heat sink and is configured to promote heat dissipation from the second element group.

Motor device

A substrate connecting structure includes a first substrate, a second substrate facing the first substrate, and a terminal through which electricity is supplied to the first substrate and the second substrate. The terminal has a first substrate connecting part that is connected to the first substrate from a side opposite from the second substrate, and a second substrate connecting part that is provided by splitting from the first substrate connecting part at an intermediate point in the terminal and connected to the second substrate by extending contactlessly through the first substrate from the side opposite from the second substrate toward the second substrate.

Substrate connecting structure

Provided is a motor apparatus in which an increase in its size in a radial direction of a rotation shaft of a motor can be suppressed while securing redundancy of control of driving of the motor. A motor apparatus includes a motor having a rotation shaft, a first control circuit board where a first power circuit and a first control circuit are mounted, and a second control circuit board where a second power circuit and a second control circuit are mounted. The control circuit boards are arranged with an overlapping portion when viewed along an axial direction on an extension line of an axis of the rotation shaft. The overlapping portion intersects the extension line of the rotation shaft of the motor.

Motor apparatus

A steering system includes a rack shaft, a housing, an electric motor, a control device, and a speed reduction mechanism that applies a moving force in the axial direction to the rack shaft with the speed of rotation of the electric motor reduced. The housing has a rack shaft housing portion and a speed reduction mechanism housing portion. The electric motor has: a motor case fixed to the housing; a plurality of stator cores disposed annularly in the motor case; coil windings wound around the plurality of stator cores; and a rotor. The motor case is formed with a water introduction hole that introduces water that has entered the speed reduction mechanism housing portion into the motor case. The control device has a detector that detects entry of water into the motor case.

Steering system

A motor device that can secure the detection precision of the rotational angle of a motor is provided. A motor device has a motor housing, a heat sink, a motor cover, a motor, and a substrate. An opening portion of the motor housing is covered by the motor cover which is made of a magnetic body such as iron in a roofed tubular shape. A choke coil is provided on a surface of the substrate on the side opposite to the motor. A magnetic sensor is provided on a surface of the substrate on the side of the motor. A housing portion is provided at a roof portion of the motor cover. The choke coil, which is mounted on the substrate, is surrounded by the housing portion.

Provided is a motor device that prevents an increase in size in the radial direction of a motor while providing redundancy in controlling driving of the motor. A motor device includes: a motor including a motor shaft; a first control board on which a first power circuit and a first control circuit are mounted in combination, and a second control board on which a second power circuit and a second control circuit are mounted in combination, as control boards constructing a circuit that controls driving of the motor; and a housing that accommodates the motor and the control boards together. Each of the control boards is disposed to cross a radial direction that is orthogonal to an axial direction of the motor.
