A rotor includes first and second permanent magnets provided in each magnetic pole inside a rotor core. The rotor is configured such that when a first end of the first permanent magnet located on the outer circumferential side of the rotor core and the second permanent magnet side is located at a position that faces a first end in the circumferential direction of one of teeth of a stator, a second end of the first permanent magnet located on the axis of rotation side of the rotor core and the second permanent magnet side is located at a position that faces a second end in the circumferential direction of the tooth that faces the first end of the first permanent magnet.

A permanent magnet synchronous rotating electric machine includes a rotor and a stator. The rotor includes a first hole, a second hole, a first magnet, and a second magnet. The second hole is provided on an opposite side with respect to a center line extending along a radial direction of the rotor. The first magnet is provided in the first hole and extends along a first longitudinal axis inclined at a first acute angle with respect to the center line. The second magnet is provided in the second hole and extends along a second longitudinal axis inclined at a second acute angle with respect to the center line. The second acute angle is smaller than the first acute angle.

A distance between the first and second magnets at a position is wider as the position is closer to a circumference portion of the rotor core. The first magnet and the first pole partition line have a first minimum distance therebetween, the second magnet and the second pole partition line have a second minimum distance therebetween, and the first minimum distance is smaller than the second minimum distance.
