Provided are: a phosphate amine salt composition which can be used as a flame retardant that is capable of imparting excellent flame retardancy and weather resistance to synthetic resins without a risk of corroding a processing machine; a phosphate amine salt flame retardant composition; a flame-retardant synthetic resin composition containing the same; and a molded article thereof. The phosphate amine salt composition contains at least one phosphate amine salt, and the ammonium cation content therein is 100 to 2,000 ppm by mass. An amine in the phosphate amine salt composition is preferably melamine or piperazine.

A composition contains the following components (A), (B), and (C), the component (A) being at least one melamine salt selected from the group consisting of melamine orthophosphate, melamine pyrophosphate, and melamine polyphosphate, the component (B) being at least one piperazine salt selected from the group consisting of piperazine orthophosphate, piperazine pyrophosphate, and piperazine polyphosphate, and the component (C) being a monohydrate of alumina. As disclosed, it is possible to provide a composition that can impart excellent levels of processability/moldability and flame retardancy to a resin by being mixed with the resin.

Composition, and flame-retardant resin composition

Disclosed is a composition that can impart a drip preventing effect together with an excellent heat release suppressing effect to a resin, and that enables the resin to exhibit an excellent color tone, by being mixed with the resin. The composition includes a component (A) and/or a component (B), and a component (C). It is preferable that the composition contains the component (C) in an amount of 0.1 to 50 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of a total of the components (A) and (B). The component (A) is a (poly)phosphate compound represented by General Formula (1).  The component (B) is a (poly)phosphate compound represented by General Formula (3).  The component (C) is a hydrous magnesium silicate.

A flame retardant composition according to the present invention is a phosphate-based flame retardant including a (poly)phosphate, in which F and N satisfy 8.0&#xd7;10&#x2264;F/N&#x2264;20.0 and F&#x2264;21.0, assuming that F (ppm) is a content of elemental iron and N (ppm) is a content of elemental sodium in the flame retardant composition as measured in accordance with the following procedure.

A composition includes first, second, and third components. The composition preferably includes 0.1 to 50 parts by mass of the third component with respect to 100 parts by mass in total of the first and second components. The first component is at least one type of melamine salt selected from the group consisting of melamine orthophosphate, melamine pyrophosphate, and melamine polyphosphate. The second component is at least one type of piperazine salt selected from the group consisting of piperazine orthophosphate, piperazine pyrophosphate, and piperazine polyphosphate. The third component is cyanuric acid or zinc cyanurate.

Disclosed is a flame retardant composition containing (A) an amine phosphate and (B) a zinc glycerolate. It is preferred that component (A) contain an amine pyrophosphate and that the mass ratio of component (A) to component (B) be 99.99:0.01 to 60:40. The flame retardant composition preferably further contains (C) zinc oxide, wherein the content of component (C) is 0.01 to 10 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the sum of components (A) and (B). The flame retardant composition preferably further contains (D) hydrotalcite, wherein the content of component (D) is 0.01 to 5 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the sum of components (A) and (B).

A flame retardant composition contains: 20-50 parts by mass of at least one melamine salt selected from the group consisting of melamine orthophosphate, melamine pyrophosphate, and melamine polyphosphate, as component (A); 50-80 parts by mass of at least one piperazine salt selected from the group consisting of piperazine orthophosphate, piperazine pyrophosphate, and piperazine polyphosphate, as component (B), where the total of component (A) and component (B) is 100 parts by mass; and 1-50 parts by mass of &#x3b2;-dextrin as component (C).

Flame retardant composition and flame retardant synthetic resin composition

A flame-retardant thermoplastic polyurethane resin composition is provided, containing: a thermoplastic polyurethane resin; at least one melamine salt selected from the group consisting of melamine orthophosphate, melamine pyrophosphate, and melamine polyphosphate; at least one piperazine salt selected from the group consisting of piperazine orthophosphate, piperazine pyrophosphate, and piperazine polyphosphate; and wet process silica having an oil absorption of 200 ml/100 g or more. The composition preferably contains zinc oxide.

Flame retardant thermoplastic polyurethane resin composition

Disclosed is a flame retardant composition having excellent flame retardancy and processability, providing a flame-retardant synthetic resin composition including this flame retardant composition and having excellent flame retardancy and processability. Specifically, the following components are used in combination: as component (A), 20 to 50 parts by mass of at least one type of melamine salt selected from the group consisting of melamine orthophosphate, melamine pyrophosphate, and melamine polyphosphate; as component (B), 50 to 80 parts by mass of at least one type of piperazine salt selected from the group consisting of piperazine orthophosphate, piperazine pyrophosphate, and piperazine polyphosphate (the total of component (A) and component (B) is 100 parts by mass); and as component (C), 0.01 to 20.0 parts by mass of a bicyclophosphoric ester compound represented by the following general formula (1). Provided are a flame-retardant polyolefin resin composition with high flame retardancy, particularly sufficient flame retardancy to meet the UL94 5VA standard and a molded article with high flame retardancy, particularly sufficient flame retardancy to meet the UL94 5VA standard. The composition includes 100 parts by mass of a polyolefin resin, (A) 10 to 60 parts by mass of at least one melamine salt selected from the group consisting of melamine orthophosphate, melamine pyrophosphate, and melamine polyphosphate, (B) 15 to 90 parts by mass of at least one piperazine salt selected from the group consisting of piperazine orthophosphate, piperazine pyrophosphate, and piperazine polyphosphate, and (C) 10 to 140 parts by mass of glass fiber.

Flame-retardant polyolefin resin composition

A process for producing a pyrophosphate, particularly melamine pyrophosphate useful as a flame retardant, efficiently in high yield is provided. The process includes firing an orthophosphate, preferably melamine orthophosphate, in the presence of a silicone oil, preferably methylphenyl silicone oil preferably at 120&#xb0; to 350&#xb0; C. Examples of useful firing equipment include a hot air dryer, a kneader, a Henschel mixture, a fluidized bed dryer, a rotary kiln, a paddle dryer, an extruder, a vibrating dryer, a far-infrared conveyor furnace, and a microwave firing furnace.

A vinyl chloride resin composition comprising 100 parts by mass of a vinyl chloride resin and a co-ground mixture of (a) 0.001 to 10 parts by mass of at least one member selected from the group consisting of an organic phosphoric ester compound and a metal salt thereof and (b) 0.001 to 10 parts by mass of a grinding aid.
