A vehicle front portion structure including: a front side member that extends in a vehicle longitudinal direction at a vehicle transverse direction outer side portion of a vehicle front portion and includes a projecting portion that projects-out toward a vehicle transverse direction outer side at an outer side wall at a front end portion; a spacer that is provided at a vehicle transverse direction outer side of the front side member and is fastened to the outer side wall at a vehicle front side of the projecting portion, and that has an adjacent portion that is adjacent to a vehicle transverse direction outer side of the projecting portion; and an engaging portion that is formed at the spacer and is disposed at a vehicle front side with respect to the projecting portion, and that engages with a front end of the projecting portion in the vehicle longitudinal direction.

Vehicle front portion structure

A friction stir spot welding structure includes a pair configured of an upper side flange portion and a lower side flange portion that are friction stir spot welded together by being pressed by a rotating pin rotating from one thickness direction side at a mutually overlapping location. A pair of protruding portions that project out in a protruding shape from the upper side flange portion toward the lower side flange portion are formed to the upper side flange portion. A pair of engagement holes into which the pair of protruding portions are inserted are formed to the lower side flange portion.

An outer energy absorbing member and an inner energy absorbing member are mounted on a lower surface side of a vehicle bottom part. The outer energy absorbing member and the inner energy absorbing member are arranged adjacent and in parallel to each other in a vehicle width direction. A recessed engagement part is formed in a side end part of the outer energy absorbing member on an inner side in the vehicle width direction, and a projecting engagement part is formed in a side end part of the inner energy absorbing member on an outer side in the vehicle width direction. The recessed engagement part and the projecting engagement part are engaged with each other at a time of side impact.

Vehicle lower part structure

There is provided a process for preparing a composite material of an oxide crystal film and a substrate by forming a Y123 type oxide crystal film from a solution phase on a substrate using a liquid phase method, wherein problems such as cracking of the oxide crystal film, separation of the oxide crystal film from the substrate, and development of a reaction layer between the substrate and the solution can be minimized. The solvent for forming the solution phase uses either a BaO&#x2014;CuO&#x2014;BaFsystem or a BaO&#x2014;CuO&#x2014;Ag&#x2014;BaFsystem, and when the substrate with a seed crystal film bonded to the surface is brought in contact with the solution to form (grow) the oxide crystal film on the substrate, the temperature of the solution is controlled to a temperature of no more than 850&#xb0; C.

Method of preparing oxide crystal film/substrate composite and solution for use therein

There is provided is a method of manufacturing a superconductor layer, including preparing a coating solution by dissolving trifluoroacetates of at least one metal selected from the group consisting of yttrium and lanthanoids, barium, and copper in a solvent, coating a main surface of a substrate with the coating solution to form a coating film, subjecting the coating film to a calcining process in an atmosphere containing oxygen, and subjecting the coating film after the calcining process to a firing process in an atmosphere containing water vapor at a temperature higher than that at the calcining process. The calcining process is carried out such that the coating film after the calcining process and before the firing process have an average CuO particle diameter equal to or less than 25 nm.

Superconductor layer and method of manufacturing the same

There is disclosed a tubular packing which can be easily produced, and has satisfactory durability while maintaining excellent properties of exfoliated graphite such as cushioning properties and heat-resistance. There are prepared a sheet of exfoliated graphite sheet and two wire nets equal in size and shape to the sheet. The one wire net is superposed on an obverse side of the sheet in coinciding relation thereto whereas the other wire net is held in contact with a reverse side of the sheet in offset relation thereto, and this stack is curved into a tubular shape, and this tubular stack is compressed in a direction of a thickness of the sheet, thereby forming a tubular packing. Therefore, in the resultant tubular packing, the wire nets are embedded in the sheet. The wire net interconnects the opposite end edges of the sheet in a bridging manner, so that the tubular packing is continuous over the entire circumference thereof. The embedded wire nets are exposed respectively to the inner and outer surfaces of the sheet, and the wire net and the exfoliated graphite are present in a coexisting manner in each of the inner and outer peripheral surfaces of the tubular packing, and therefore the tubular packing has the excellent wear resistance and sliding properties.

Tubular packing and method of producing same

There is disclosed a sliding sheet material for high-temperature use which can be easily produced, and has satisfactory durability while maintaining excellent properties of exfoliated graphite such as cushioning properties and heat-resistance. The sliding sheet material includes a sheet-shaped exfoliated graphite, and at least two layers of wire net embedded in the exfoliated graphite sheet, the wire net layers being disposed substantially parallel to each other. The wire net layers are partially exposed to obverse and reverse sides of the exfoliated graphite. The satisfactory durability of the sliding sheet material is achieved by the exposed wire nets, and the sliding sheet material can be easily produced, and exhibits excellent cushioning properties and heat resistance.
